We went for a nature walk and our tour guide was very helpful and we saw monkeys, many birds, butterflies, ants and very beautiful plants. The price is really worth it!

Main reason to come here is the zipline course, which only takes about 10 minutes but is impressively high. Don't make our mistake and pay for a "nature walk" because it is just the walk to the zipline course and not much else. The prices seem high for the experience generally. There is not much going on here except the zipline and trails to the zipline. Overall it's a bit of a depressing environment because the loss of the forest to sugar cane cultivation is so apparent - the entire drive from Luzira is through sugar cane, not forest. And the river by the zipline is badly polluted from sugar cane processing run off. That being said, this is the main tourist access to Mabira. I don't think I'd return, especially at the prices we paid for the experience. It's too bad. Wish I could say otherwise.
