PENSION DODEMAN

My wife and I stayed at Josette's for two nights in August. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and found Josette to be friendly and welcoming. During breakfast, we always chatted in French with her, and she shared fascinating insights about the island.

Highly recommended if you speak French and are looking for a unique and immersive experience. However, if you're seeking complete privacy and minimal interaction, I’d suggest opting for a hotel instead.

The bedroom was clean and comfortable. There’s a shared bathroom between two rooms, which was also kept very clean. Breakfast was generous and delicious, with pain au chocolat, croissants, fresh bread with butter and jam, along with coffee and orange juice.

Booked this accommodation in Jan (for 2 nights)and was told the night before we our stay that they had made a mistake and couldnt accommodate us for the first night! suggested we change our dates but that was not an option for us .they did come back with an option to stay the first night at another (unregistered ) B&B. The lady there was kind and accommodating.When we arrived at the Dodemans for our second night we were told that she wouldnt supply breakfast as we were taking the early ferry and it was too early for her to get up! I asked if we could a least have some fruit and again it was "no breakfast! She did appear a bit later with some croissants in a paper bag. We surely cannot be the only visitors who take the early ferry so she should either reduce her rate if no breakfast supplied or provide a box breakfast to go (croissant & fruit at least)|The accommodations at the Dodeman's are very nice with large rooms , exceptionally clean and lots of privacy , especially if you are there with friends to share the bathroom. If you book there be sure to check on your reservation closer to your day and beware of the breakfast issue

Ce B and B est passable. La chambre était propre, mais l'accueil réservé par la propriétaire était glacial. Le petit déjeuner était correct bien que limité. J'avais l'impression que les croissants étaient rationnés. Cette maison est au sommet de la colline; prévoyez de prendre un taxi pour vous y rendre.
