BUDDHA-BAR BEACH

With my wife we had two drinks. We were not guest of the hotel but we were allowed to sit on a bar. Firstly was the atmospere strange and unfriedly because the beach stuff of the hotel asked us to leave the place. We tell them tahat want only a cocktail and not to stay on the beach in resort. It makes me feel strange but on the other hand I got the point the people tahat paied for it want to have peaceful holiday. Finally everybody were very professional and friendly. We had two cocktails and they were outstanding. You can buy cocktails anywhwre in restaurants in flic en flac but this is new level. I am happy I triedy to ask for one. The price is higher (aprox 750 rupiee for one) but it is worthy. I saw on the bar my few favourite whiskies but not something special. You can find ordinary single malt but I think is enough for most of people. But for me I would preffer higher whisky standard. Other services I cannot juge because I did not try them. Overall I liked it and it ws fine. I you go along definitelly stay for a drink. And you can chceck the teception of the hotel. I think you cannot be a guest to reserve some spa or dinner.

Sehr schönes Ambiente direkt am Strand. Service und Qualität sind auch super. Abends Reservierung erforderlich.

We wanted to reserve a table at the Buddha Beach Bar for my girlfriend's birthday so we could celebrate in a nice and relaxed atmosphere. Communication via email was very slow and unreliable, until we finally stopped receiving any replies. We sent the first email a month in advance. As a result, we had to look for an alternative the day before her birthday. What a pity! They probably don't place much value on the "rabble" who aren't staying at the hotel, and the same was probably true of others who had similar plans to us. But another location did a good deal!

Had lunch there and had a WOW???? Experience
Very delicious food, especially the soup was a gourmet journey. Wine recommendation and Service is wonderful !

Après avoir été accueillies par 2 serveurs pour boire un cocktail et potentiellement dîner, et confirmation de leur part respective en nous installant à une table, nous avons été éconduites par le « chef barman » car non clientes de l’hôtel (or, nous avions posé la question de la possibilité en arrivant).
Conclusion: Est-ce un bar??NON. Uniquement réservé aux clients de l’hôtel pourtant indiqué nulle part (rien de mentionné sur TripAdvisor site sur lequel ce bar est recommandé et ni sur place…) Par ailleurs, de nombreuses tables étaient disponibles…
Une condescendance du “chef barman” choquante. Pour sur, nous ne recommanderons JAMAIS ni ce bar ni cet hôtel qui dénote avec l’accueil des Mauriciens. Très mauvaise expérience alors nous nous réjouissions d’y aller aux vues des commentaires en ligne qui n’a absolument pas été notre vécu. Bien dommage ..!
