Standard twin room was small, but everything you needed for a weekend trip. Bathroom was compact but space was well utilized. Overall, a good stay and location cannot be beaten. Just 5 minutes away from the old town, with 2 bakeries nearby for a quick breakfast fix. However, the soundproofing can be better. While we had a room on the lower floor, street-facing, the noise didn’t come from the traffic outside but from the neighbors. You could hear footsteps from upstairs guests and voices from next door and doors slamming. Good thing this was not a problem during the night when people sleep. Also, quality of pillows and towels could be better, quite thin for my preference. When we arrived, one pillow had stains but good thing there were extra pillows available. Also decided to park in Gare Bleyle where it was only 3€ per day, rather than in the private garage in the hotel for 20€ per day. All in all, still a good deal given that we went on a public holiday where the town was quite full.

J'aurais pu donner la note maximale, mais... on pourrait éviter des gaffes: la réceptionniste a programmé ma clé de chambre pour une nuit au lieu de deux réservées, a indiqué un faux itinéraire pour le parking en voiture, en sens interdit, et a mis 3 minutes pour comprendre que pour encaisser 7.40€ avec 20.40 il fallait rendre 13€ et non pas 12€...Autrefois on savait ça en CM1, même plus jeune!

We stayed here during a special trip to Colmar and were very disappointed to find that some of our expensive perfumes and lotions were stolen after our room was cleaned. We always lock away passports and electronics, but we’ve never, even when traveling in developing countries, felt the need to hide toiletries. We didn’t expect that in a 3-star hotel in Colmar.||We chose not to raise it with the front desk at the time—we didn’t want it to take over what was meant to be a celebratory trip. However, we brought it up via email but never received a response from the hotel.||Until the issue is addressed, I’d recommend locking up anything you consider valuable, including personal items like perfumes and lotions.

This hotel is not far from the nice old part of Colmar. It is a rather small hotel with OK rooms. The view from our room is not that bad and the bathroom has a good shower with easy-to-understand handles, which is not that common. The bed is as hard as is normal on the European continent, and the cushions even worse, they are almost as hard as a stone. The pattern of the tiles especially in the toilet was the ugliest I have seen. However, the breakfast was good especially taken account of that the hotel did not have a restaurant.
