AUBERGE DE JEUNESSE MITTELHARTH

I went to this hostel with my school for 2 nights and I can’t recommend this place to you if you are looking for comfort and relaxation/service. The hostel is closed from 10 am - 5 pm meaning that you have to be outside for practically the whole day. Starting with the rooms; the rooms are pretty clean with high ceilings and the door has a lock ensuring extra security, most rooms have 2 large windows each with electronic blinds, the beds are comfortable enough for 2 nights and the pillows are fine, the rooms are large and have about 3-4 bunk beds in them so (5-7 beds). There is no option for dinner, they only have breakfast, which is a minimal selection of cornflakes, milk and processed fruit. The worst part is the bathrooms. They are communal and not attached to the rooms and are shared with every room on that corridor. It had 3 sinks, 3 showers and 3 toilets, the shower and sinks were clean and fine but the toilets were horrible the cleaning service is not good enough, the first day I arrived I found a small stain of dried what seemed to be poop on the seat of the toilet I had used the bathroom 6-7 times during the 3 days and every timw I used it the stain was still there showing no effort to clean or remove it. The hallways don’t smell bad and it is sort of modern. This place is OK for 1-2 nights but paying a little more for a real hotel in the town of Colmar is definitely worth it, I forgot to add that the hostel is 15 mins walking distance to the centre ville of Colmar making it annoying to go every day (since you’re not allowed to stay inside after 10 am)
Long story short don’t go here it’s not good enough for me personally but if you don’t mind using nasty toilets and being forced to be outside the whole day then book it because you pay a very good cheap price for what you get.

Séjour de 2 nuits avec 50 lycéens.

Accueil chaleureux et prévenant ayant répondu avec diligence à différentes demandes.
Chambres bien entretenues. Environnement calme.

Bon à savoir (car utilisées pour un élève ayant fait un malaise nocturne) : les urgences pédiatriques sont a 20 minutes a pied.

Seul bémol : la literie grince un peu. Pour les personnes sensibles a ce problème, il est donc recommandé d'être épuisé avant d'aller se coucher ????

Die Auberge de Jeunesse in Colmar ist insgesamt okay. Der Empfang war freundlich und ausführlich, danach wirkte das Personal eher reserviert. Ich war alleine im Schlafsaal unterwegs – bei voller Belegung wäre es meiner Meinung nach ziemlich eng, da zu viele Betten im Raum stehen.

Das Frühstück ist schlicht, aber ausreichend, und die Duschen waren sauber – ein Pluspunkt.

Verglichen mit meiner darauffolgenden Nacht in Strasbourg fand ich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in Colmar eher schwach – dort habe ich deutlich mehr fürs Geld bekommen

Nous venons de passer deux nuits dans l’auberge de jeunesse de Colmar entre amis, nous étions 6 adultes et 5 enfants de 2 à 6 ans.
Nous avons été extrêmement bien accueillis par le personnel. Les dortoirs et les draps étaient propres, les sanitaires également ! Rien à redire, nous sommes sur des prestations d’auberge de jeunesse donc basiques mais largement suffisantes pour nous ! Mention supplémentaire pour le petit déjeuner très correct même si les horaires pour le prendre sont un peu tôt !

Le seul bémol qui nous empêche de mettre 5 étoiles est le fait de ne pas pouvoir accéder à l’auberge entre 10h et 17h (18h le dimanche).
