I was in LA for a few days on business. This hotel is incredible! Charming building from the lobby to the rooms, nice amenities, a beautiful view, and really thoughtful and considerate staff. I have never been to a hotel where the valet runs to your Uber to open your door and welcome you but they do here. Friendly smiles from every staff member. The food was great, the room was really clean and comfortable. It’s got an upscale homey feel and is close to so many things while feeling like it’s tucked away on a private cove. You can watch seals and other aquatic life from balconies facing the water, gorgeous sunsets, and calm misty mornings. I’m very grateful to the staff for helping make this trip comfortable and easy for me. I’ll definitely be back!

Great Oceanside view! The rooms need a little updating but overall enjoyed my stay, staff is very accommodating!

What can I say about this place? I can say “luxury”, “comfort”, “friendly”…but those word would not be enough. I am truly loving my balcony with the view of the ocean. The seals are chillin’ on their barge singing off key. The seagulls are flying and the ducks are swimming. This is a very relaxing location and it doesn’t smell like fish.

Great location, great food, we had a delightful morning sitting at the patio eating breakfast, watching the ocean and listening to the seal’s singing.
However, the rooms definitely need maintenance. We’ve spotted 6 ants in the bathtub, and 2 on the bedroom wall. There are corners that obviously need a fix and I’m guessing that’s where ants are coming from.

The staff is incredibly nice and professional. The building and rooms have seen better days. The gym sucks. There are two Pelotons, one without a subscription to the service. Most mornings there were 4 to 6 of us fighting over equipment and space. The walls are thin and the place is noisy. Bring your earplugs if you need them.

I love the calm peacefulness of this hotel. It has rooms with water views, steps to the Baleen kitchen, and an in hotel bar with some small food options. Pool and hot tub, small gym, and the friendliest staff.

Beware the rooms with two beds were full size and not queens.

It is 3:30 and they close at 4 for last rentals. Clearly they did not want to try , go to “PADDLE HOUSE THEY RENT UNTIL 4pm like they said they would “, Never go to this place the young men that are here are careless. Good luck to the ownership you are chasing your customers away. Get someone here that cares about your business.

A nice location, but … very poor guest experience. Things started to go wrong the moment we arrived at the hotel - with inattentive valet service, followed by unwelcoming reception - who told us we should have read ‘the website’ when we questioned the $40 per night extra dollar parking fee at the hotel - although as the receptionist said ‘there are some packages that include parking’, so read the small print on the website lol. We were not told anything about the hotel facilities at check in either, only given our room key & left to ourselves to carry our bags & make our own way to the room without any description of facilities or amenities On a positive note, the room was nice & bed was comfortable but the guest fridge had no mini bar & a bottle of water was $7 (!). To add insult to injury when we returned to our room after a full day out our room had not been made up or attended too & we had to request clean towels & bed service… There are plenty of good hotels in the area. This is not one of them.
