The coffee is disgusting. Truly the worst coffee I have ever had in a Hotel in my life by a wide margin. And that is not because of some snobbish idea of good coffee having to be barista style fresh ground beans artisan requirements or something. I do drink and enjoy instant coffees, there is good instant coffee out there and if you want to enjoy coffee during your breakfast, bring some of that and just use the hot water from the coffee machine. Or drink tea, they actually have a selection of nice teas. Do you know those old fashioned Glas can coffee makers keeping coffee hot for hours and hours until it becomes a black, bitter mess? You'd be wishing for that instead of what comes out of the maschine here....
And it's probably not the maschine fault, made by a renown brand, see accompanying pictures, so it must be the powder they use. Instant coffee from hell! I tried all the options offered by the maschine, and they rank from please just kill me to amputating your own leg with a rusty knife, the "Coffee Americano" being the latter.
So, why did I give it 5 Stars regardless? Everything else is just fine. The rest of the breakfast is decent for the price point, they even have cake and a variety of pretty good croissants to chose from. Rooms are small as usual in Venice, but very clean and in good upkeep. The bathroom is well appointed with a nice, newly renovated shower. Staff is super friendly, WiFi is fast, location is excellent with a 2 Minutes walk to Lido S.M.E. station, plenty of reasonable priced restaurants around and a grocery store in the building just across the street. And all of it at a very reasonable price. But for the love of God, drink tea or bring your own instant coffee!

Addendum 2024: they have a new coffee machine that makes excellent coffee, although they still have a button (cappuccino with instant coffee) if you fetch coffee for people you don't like.

Location is great. Just 3 mins walk from the Lido SME.
Got top floor room which had slanting roof. Tough to stand and take bath. Very small room.

Stayed there for 2 nights. The staff was helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was more than okay. The hotel is located on Lido island. Getting to the main tourist attractions requires a boat trip.
