We came to Lido to spend one day out of Venice. We found La Tavernetta by chance. The food was delicious not too large portions perfect for lunch. The tiramisu was just pleasing. The service was very friendly.

Completely disappointed.
Been here in 2013, this place was like heaven. Seems that the former owner Ottavio moved on, it's sad to see what this place has become. Sub par atmosphere, sub par food, sub par service.

Do not eat here.
If you’re planning on eating here it’s probably because it’s near your hotel and you don’t fancy the boat ride back to St Marc’s. Having had the misfortune of eating at this establishment I can honestly say I’d rather swim back to st Marc’s and find a better alternative (Burger King would be better). The restaurant stank of wet dog and the food was horrific. Service was haphazard at best and it wasn’t cheap at 100euro for two with no wine. I paid 160 euro for lunch at Al Covo and was happy to pay it, at this place I felt I’d been robbed. Awful awful awful. Avoid.
The website and images make it look fancy the reality is anything but. It’s a tourist trap and a bad one at that.

Siamo stati a cena ben due volte. Misto di piatti tipici veneziani e toscani. Pochi piatti ma buonissimi. Ottimo servizio.

Sehr sehr lecker! Essen ist super und Ambiente sehr schön. Klein aber fein???? Neben Strasse aber kaum befahren. Der Schokoladenkuchen war mal was neues und wirklich zu empfehlen!

Sehr nette Kellner hat uns gefragt am anfang, ob möchten wir Wasser trinken. Aber nichts gesagt, das 0,70 Flasche 5€ kostet! Plus 2,5€ pro Person Tischdienst und noch vor dem Essen schon 10€ auf rechnung.
Gibts keine Wein Karte, kein Trink Menu. Meine Tochter bestellt Ravioli mit Garnelen: 18€ für 4 Stück! Ich habe Teller mit gemischte Fisch aus Adriatischen Meer. Auf dem Teller war nur eine kleine fisch! Rest war Garnelen und Tintenfisch paniert und ohne geschmack.

So Abendessen für 2 Personen 70€…

Nie wider!

Molto vicino all'Hotel dove alloggiavamo, ho cenato insieme alla mia ragazza. Ci hanno consigliato bene cosa mangiare e abbiamo abbinato un ottimo vino! Personale molto gentile e accogliente, servizio veloce e piatti veramente buoni. Lo consiglio!

Mi spiace esistano solo 5 stelle, ne meriterebbero almeno 10. Grazie ragazzi, un cibo eccellente ed una squisita cortesia ed educazione che è difficile da trovare al lido durante il festival del cinema. Tornerò e consiglierò a tutti di farlo! Ottavio una forza e bravissima Luciana!
