The room was very nice but it was a little noisy outside the 1st night as there are lots of restaurants nearby that stay open pretty late. The shutters on the windows block out quite a bit though. Great location on the water, staff were very helpful and pleasant. The food in the restaurant is great, the menu for dinner and breakfast is a little limited but the dishes are tasty, and the complementary bottle of port in the room was tasty. The whole building is pretty compact so a few folks in the lobby make it feel pretty tight. The hotel is nicely appointed and clean. Would stay again if in the area.

Sehr schade, wir wollten essen gehen, es war aber ausgebucht für den heutigen Abend. Ich habe nach einer Visitenkarte gefragt. Wir gingen dann in ein anderes Restaurant in der Nähe essen und entschieden uns, dass wir auf dem Heimweg in unsere Unterkunft gleich für morgen reservieren würden. Als wir da waren schnauzte der Mitarbeiter, welcher mir die Karte gegeben hatte, an (ich denke es war der Chef de Service) "er hätte mir doch die Karte für die Reservation gegeben, jetzt hätten sie viel zu tun, dann würde das Essen für die Gäste kalt." Es war zu diesem Zeitpunkt gar kein Essen für den Service bereit und es war nicht mehr zu tun als wir vorher da waren. Äh, echt jetzt, ist das Kundenservice? Geht ja gar nicht! Zudem hätten wir in dieser Zeit der Diskussion schon lange reserviert. So eine unfreundliche Art wollen wir erst gar nicht unterstützen!

Great location. The rooms were a tad small but they were beautiful and had fantastic views of the river. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Superb location with friendly staff. Bruno at the front desk was a delightful asset to the hotel and spoke good English. The breakfast on the terrace was excellent. With double glazed windows the room was quiet.

If you want a hotel right on the Riberia, this is for you. As others have said, it’s very loud and while we knew that, I’d say it’s the loudest place I’ve every stayed. The street performers felt like they were in the room.

The room (Tawny 3) was nice and spacious for a European city but it was directly next to the staff room that serviced the hotel with linens, cleaning, things for the kitchen and it was SO loud - lots of banging and slamming doors. After a few lovely hotels, the staff were barely engaged in answering questions and it took 25 min to get breakfast which was not very good. I think it was a fine hotel but unless you’re set on this exact location, I would not say this hotel is worth the price.
