Amazing stay in Porto. Rooms ready when arrived from Lisbon early. Beautiful upgrade to a gorgeous spacious room. Hotel is stunning like walking into a museum located in the heart of everything. Only draw back is the street is set back from hotel so in rain need to walk to hotel but doormen are quick to pop out with umbrellas. Front desk was amazing with dinner recs and plotting the top sites on a city map. They even organized a tuktuk to take us around. The restaurant was great for lunch. The breakfast was significant but a bit chaotic. My only area for improvement is a fresh eye on breakfast setup and improved espresso machine. That said it an amazing property that I would highly recommend.

We stayed here this past week for my husband's birthday. The hotel is gorgeous and the location was right in the heart of Porto which we loved. Our room was lovely and very comfortable albeit a little small. The breakfast was not as good as other places we have stayed in Portugal and frankly a little disappointing. It was my husband's birthday trip. I had communicated to the hotel a week before we arrived that I would like a happy birthday note placed in the room before we arrived to make it special for him. I re-confirmed with them the day before we arrived, but when we checked-in there was no card and over the course of our 3 night stay there were no other gestures made to make him feel special. I know that its just a small detail, but it's supposedly a 5 star hotel and they weren't able to deliver on one simple request, which was disappointing.

We went all around Portugal over two weeks and out of everywhere we stayed we felt we received the best service here. Everyone we spoke with was kind and helpful.

For example we had an early departure flight and the hotel figured out when we needed to depart, arranged to have a driver pick us up, and had us checked out and ready to leave when we woke up — it was seamless and so helpful.

Overall very satisfied with our stay. The staff are nice and accommodating, the hotel lobby is absolutely beautiful, and even the restaurant is solid. Will be returning.
