VALENA MARE

The Valena Mare is an absolute gem of a hotel! Nikos, Mari, and the staff (whose name I don’t recall at the moment) are kind and welcoming and they go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful stay.

We rented the family room which has a bedroom with a bed for two as well as bunk beds in the living area (it was just two of us but I think there’s enough space for four). There’s also a balcony with a few chairs, so lots of spaces for a small group to congregate.

The breakfast was included and you select your options the evening before so it can be prepared fresh the following morning (instead of a buffet where you don’t know how long things have been sitting out for). There’s options like Greek yogurt, fruit, a sweet treat (which was different and delightful every morning), a fried egg sandwich, & a few drinks, as well as options you could pay a little extra for, like a cappuccino or a different sandwich. The portions are small compared to portions typical in the US, but my husband and I found it filling enough & Nikos mentioned we could select a few different things if we found we were still hungry.

The pool is gorgeous and there were plenty of lounge chairs to relax on. And the beach is within walking distance if that’s preferred (Nikos also has a few beach items you can borrow- chairs, umbrellas, kids toys)

There aren’t too many places to eat within walking distance but Nikos is ready and willing to offer suggestions that are nearby. If you’ve rented a car there’s plenty within just 5 minutes drive.

If you want to have a wonderful and relaxing time you won’t be disappointed with the Valena Mare.

Nice place!! The rooms are beautiful and cozy. People are friendly and always try to help you and recommend u the best places to see.

Also, there are a lot of beaches close to hotel which are cute.

I gonna miss get up in this hotel????. If you are thinking to go, you should go!!

Las habitaciones y el ambiente es muy acogedor. Los dueños han sido unos compañeros más de nuestro viaje que han hecho nuestra estancia más agradable. Esta muy bien ubicada cercana a varias playas y a pocos minutos de la ciudad en coche. Sin duda repetiremos.

We loved our stay in Nikolas's hôtel. This is the perfect place to rest and enjoy Naxos's island.
The garden is beautiful and very quiet, the swiming pool very pleasant and our junior suite very confortable.
The beach is near by walk (5/10mn). But the place is far from the city, so you need a car or a scooter. The path was in renovation when we went in valena, so it can take more time to reach the hôtel but it wasn't a problem.
The breakfast is very good and complete.
Last point : Nikolas is so nice, very concerned by his guests. It is a pleasure to speak with him.
