Prachtig museum met hele mooie kunst. Jammer dat de info niet in veel talen is en dat er geen headphone voorhanden is. Ook bewegwijzering kan beter. Geen koffie gelegenheid. Anders was het 5 sterren

Nice museum for fine arts lovers. It’s rather a small museum. However, the collection of paintings is qualitative: Jan Steen (large work), David Teniers de Jonghe (5 works), Canaletto (2x), Jan Breughel the Elder (small work),… It took us about 2 hours to see the whole collection.

Villa Vauban è un museo d'arte nella città di Lussemburgo. Espone dipinti del XVIII e XIX secolo acquisiti da collezioni private. Sono esposti artisti come Canaletto, Delacroix, Coubert, Rodin Dupré e tanti altri.

Together with my husband we have visited some of the largest museums in Europe. Never have we encountered such an oversensitive alarm system, where the slightest finger-pointing or bowing causes a loud beep. The most shocking however was the aggressive reaction of the hysterical museum guard after the third beep, threatening to call security personnel, then rushing out to effectively do so, letting us behind with the fear of getting thrown out and wondering if perhaps museums are meant to protect art from its admirers. This certainly does not fit with the image that Luxembourg carries as a city that has left everything provincial behind. If we wanted this kind of experience, we would visit a Siberian gulag museum. But even there we would be treated differently.

Great museum including classic art works from 500 years ago to now, also a lot of modern art options and photos also available. Customer service is nice, friendly and collaborative, security guards also polite and aware. I spent an hour but it worth to spend more. Garden also is beautiful and quiet a venue.

✅✅✅???????????? une super animation, un accueil chaleureux, le gateau était top. Visite du musée. Magnifique lieu chargé d’histoire avec des matériaux d’exception. Je recommande. ????????????
Il est necessaire de réservé à l’avancement et il y a un accès par ascenseur.

Très joli petit musée. Qualité certaine des installations. Et de l interieur également : planchers, luminaire, escaliers etc. Et bravo pour cette belle projection des oeuvres vivantes sur les murs. Très réussi. Longue vie à Villa Vauban ! Sonya Champagne du Québec !

Le musée récemment rénové avec un jardin accueillant parsemé de quelques œuvres d'art donne envie de franchir le pas de la porte. Le musée est plus grand qu'il ne le laisse penser avec des salles creusées en sous-sol. L'exposition sur Jerome Bosch et les œuvres fantastiques du Moyen-Âge était originale bien qu'assez spécialisée. Le reste des expositions avec des photographies et peintures m'a moins plu. A conseiller en fonction de l'intérêt pour le visiteur de la programmation pointue du musée.
