CRESTA MARANG GARDENS ^{* * * *}

This place has deteriorated. Beer bottles lying all over the lawn. People bring in own cooler boxes and sit on the lawns. Has become like a tavern with loud music and disorderly patrons. No longer recommended

Lovely hotel and much nicer than the other Cresta in Francistown.
There was an issue with my reservation (Expedia didn't link up with their booking system for some reason), however they fixed the issue and were friendly and professional.

The rooms are recently refurbished and the grounds and the facilities are very well kept.
My favourite Francistown hotel so far.

We've stayed here frequently and last year around the same time of year and actually the same week In 2021. We always stay at places for a long time, over a week normally but this time our forced short stay was certainly not as I wanted nor desired.

We just stayed in Maun for a month at the same place! We came here for a week, possibly longer but that wasn't to be. Along with other people we were told they were fully booked, only one night allowed. Turns out that wasn't true. Twice.....

So the day after was spent racing round to find somewhere else to stay but then suddenly our friends had called to say they successfully got 2 more nights! So we returned to be told no, only one more night was possible. What!!!?? So yesterday 1 night possible, tonight 1 night possible yet our friends had booked for another two.

What's going off???

So I ask for the (new) manager. She's gone home. Pay tonight and speak to her in the morning was the offer....I want to stay and pay once I've spoken to her. Not possible I'm told. So don't stay at all is the option offered. Get out of my hotel it seems like to me. Male member of staff on reception, quite frankly useless. Booked in by TA once speaking to him again. He succeeded to do nothing to resolve the issue. Upset your regular patrons. Excellent customer service. Disgusted and sleeping in my car.

The place is breath taking...can't wait to come back again.

Clean rooms, beautiful garden, good breakfast.

Checking in took long, the receptionist seemed unsure of what to do.

Waiters and waitresses need to care for customers better...
