OKAVANGO EXPLORATION SAFARIS

Sox a été notre guide pendant ces 12 jours passées avec lui en 2016. Nous étions toute la famille ,7 personnes, en formule campement en brousse tous les soirs. Voyage extraordinaire. Sox connait la brousse à la perfection, ses animaux, leurs modes de vie, leurs habitudes, les règles à respecter pour les observer sans les déranger. Sa gaité, son humour, sa gentillesse, l'attention constante qu'il porte à ses hôtes, en font un très agréable compagnon de safari.
Maintenant qu'il a sa propre agence de safari, vous pouvez lui faire une confiance absolue. Le voyage qu'il vous fera vivre sera une aventure inoubliable, surtout si vous campez la nuit en brousse....

We had the most wonderful two week safari with Theno and the team. We felt so incredibly looked after in terms of our campsite, hot meals, hot showers and safety in the bush. Theno was a fantastic knowledgeable guide who very rarely didn’t have an answer to any of our question and was very happy to search for the answer in one of his many wildlife books. He was able to show us everything on our Wishlist and more! Each day was more impressive than the last- the running joke of the trip quickly became “good luck tipping that sitting!” .
My husband and I couldn’t recommend the trip highly enough - we will be back for more of Botswana!

We had a brilliant time on this fully serviced mobile camping safari and would highly recommend it to others wanting to immerse themselves in the wonders of the Botswana National Parks (Moremi and Chobe). There is something so special about camping in the natural habitat. We were a group of seven which worked really well in our great safari vehicle. Theno, aka Sox, is an exceptional guide and tracker. His wealth of knowledge, experience and love for the animals and the bush adds so much to the experience. What we saw with the range of animals and bird life was just incredible (prides of lions, hippos, leopards, elephants, buffalo, impala, baboons and more). Sox is also supported by an excellent team who do an amazing job with terrific meals and creating such comfortable campsites which are not shared with others. Nothing was ever too much trouble and there was always a wonderful atmosphere around the dining table and campfire. From a sunrise cuppa to a sunset gin and tonic everyday was such an awesome experience. Thank you Sox and the team for a fantastic holiday.

My wife, three teenaged children and I took a two week safari with Okavango Exploration Safaris from Kasane down through Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta, finishing in Maun.
From the first day we were enchanted by the friendliness and helpfulness of Theno and his team.

Along the safari we stayed in a combination of small resort hotels and also camping.
The resorts were all great, with wildlife coming right up to the doors, but the camping was even better, based on the efforts of OES.
My family and I regularly camp in Australia but the tent setup in Botswana was way better, with good quality tents, including a private ensuite bathroom area for each tent.
In addition, the team created a dining tent and served great meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In terms of wildlife, it wouldn't have been the same without Theno's guidance and ongoing commentary.
Of course we saw all the big animals that everyone sees, but Theno also went to the effort of pointing out all other forms of fauna such as more than 40 bird species.
He knew exactly where to find each animal, and provided useful information on all of their features and behavior.
It was also interesting to note that many other safari guides gave way to our vehicle based on Theno's experience so we most often found ourselves in the best position for viewing those special wildlife moments.

In summary we found the team and trip absolutely perfect and can honestly say it was the best family holiday we have ever had!

Je suis partie à la découverte du Botswana avec Sox quelques mois avant qu'il ne devienne indépendant et ne crée sa société. Ce voyage fut exceptionnel, nous avons vu plus d'animaux qu'on aurait pu en rêver. Sox connait leur comportement et a pu nous les faire découvrir tout en respectant toujours leur espace de vie. Il est trés pointu sur les habitudes de chaque espèce d'animaux, c'était passionnant. Du point de vue logistique, là encore un grand professionnalisme : confort et sécurité. Je recommande de partir avec Sox et son équipe ! Vous vivrez une rencontre animale et humaine formidable !
