The hotel is off the beaten path and requires an hour's drive on dirt roads but once you arrive, you are in a birdwatcher's paradise. The rooms are comfortable with AC and ceiling fans. There is a pool to cool off in the hot afternoons surrounded by botanical gardens. The food and service are top notch and trips down the Rio Frio can all be arranged. Recommend for nature lovers!

This is a fabulous place. The room was delightful. Clean. Very comfortable bed. Indoor and outdoor shower. Walk out the door and you can see and hear a wide variety of birds. We are both avid birders and this was perfect for us. Wander the grounds and there was a wonderful assortment of trees and plants (a lot with labels identifying them). The food was amazing. Our first night: homemade pasta with bolognese sauce was divine. You can walk to the rio frio from the hotel and bird along the way. We signed up for the guided river expedition. Both outings we had highly skilled guides. One was fluent in English the other
Was not but both gave us wonderful, educational outings. We will return!

Es un bello lugar de estilo tropical. Sus cabinas o habitaciones son bonitas y limpias sin ser lujosas. Colinda con el refugio de vida silvestre Caño Negro. Muy buena comida, buena atención. Los amantes de las aves les basta salir fuera de la habitación para ver cantidad de aves. Solo le falta ser lujoso para darle la quinta estrella. Si quiere descansar venga a este sitio.
