HOTEL RANCHO DE LA PLAYA

We had a great stay at Pension Playa Samara. It's a classic travelers lodge with nice seating in common spaces to hang out and chat with the other guests who were friendly and informative. The staff are fantastic: friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. The A/C worked great, and the pool is clean so you have options for places to while away the hottest part of the day. Breakfast was delicious and included lots of fresh fruit. The location provides easy access to the beach, lots of restaurants and some shops. The area is safe and quiet. If you get up early and take a short walk, you can find monkeys in some nearby trees. I would definitely come back here. This place is excellent value for the money.

Great place with really helpful staff. They have nice clean, quiet rooms. This is well priced. The location is excellent for accessing everything in Samara while being in a quiet neighborhood.

STAY AWAY!
CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL. This is a very noisy hotel. People were continuously showering in the shared bathroom next to my room all night long 230am-4am and talking in the hallway loudly and inconsiderately. The ad did not mention a shared bathroom but I still agreed to stay here after I was told on check-in that only one room across the bathroom was occupied and that was the room who was making all the bathroom noise for hours, from 230am to 4am. I had room 2 next to the shared bathroom.

Very rude time to shower and loudly open and close doors. I could hear the faucet knob squeaking everytime they used it which was a lot. I even knocked on my wall to indicate they were loud but that didn't help at all. It only got quiet after 4am but it was too late for me to relax and sleep by that time. I hardly slept here and checked out very early and without a shower. So, I got little sleep and no shower which is the minimum a hotel should provide. Even the coffee was cold.

People talking loud while using the shower between 2-3am inconsiderately without caring for others trying to sleep. Non private bathroom not spelled out in the room details. I can hear the shower knob squeaking while they use the shower, turning it on and off.
