The Rambutan Hotel & Resort is above all, first in friendliness and accommodating attitude. The hotel’s rooms are an assortment of sizes and locations, so check out the web site. Some are up somewhat steep stairs, and those sometimes have lovely balconies. Some have fairly private patios, and all rooms are in bright tropical colors.

The location is within a half mile of dozens of casual and fine dining restaurants as well as the old market where there are many bargains. If you need transport farther, the hotel features its own tuk-tuk drivers who have been vetted, and many have worked there for a decade or more there. The charge is small, and they will pick up customers to bring them back to the hotel. You do not have to trust strangers to travel on the streets of Siem Reap.

The all-you-can-eat breakfast is not a buffet, thank goodness, but always cooked to order. The breakfast is included in all rates except for the separate Urban Apartments. The restaurant has a mixed Khmer/western menu for all meals, so you can sample native dishes as well as get your favorite comfort foods.

The adjoining open-air bar features creative craft cocktails and possibly the friendliest bartenders in town. Try the house special Kampot pepper martini, an exclusive made with the Cambodian black peppercorns..

The salt water pool is big enough for laps, and has adjoining chaise loungers with bar/restaurant service.

I have visited Siem Reap a half dozen times, and know this to be an excellent place for newcomers as well as returning guests enchanted with the Cambodia culture and people. The hotel books both airport pick-up as well as all the local tours including the highly popular sunrise at Angkor Wat featured.

Personnel toujours souriant et serviable.

Bon petit déjeuner, pareil pour les plats du restaurant.

Bien situé à côté du marché et de la rue des vendeurs de street foods on peut aller à pieds au pub street (10 min).

We stayed here during November 2022 during our vacation in Siem Reap. We had a great time. Rooms were duplex and neatly furnished with enough space and light. Located at a walking distance from Pub Street, river, shopping attractions and downtown Siem Reap. We used the cab and tuk tuk services from the hotel for pick up and drop as well as Angkor Wat tours. Rates were very reasonable. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with both continental and local cuisine. Reception and other hotel staff were very friendly, always smiling and ready to help. Stay at this hotel shall always make our Siem Reap trip memorable.

Keep coming back here. At a certain price point I don’t think this gorgeous hotel can be beaten. I’d describe it as an oasis in a bustling resort. 10/10 recommended ❤️❤️❤️
