What an absolutely beautiful villa to have some really poor customer service. For those wanting to stay here be aware, the manager here will be blatantly disrespectful over the phone, talking over us and blaming us for a mistake he made. I understand people can have bad day’s but that is no excuse especially as the manager to speak with such attitude and disrespect. Not only did they not tell us the proper check out time (they specified day before would be a later check in and then did not tell us we would have to check out 5 hours earlier thereby ruining all of our plans for the day and costing us €100’s of euros) Then the manager called back and told my wife she was being disrespectful. Do NOT stay here. This is all in addition to the fact they allow stray cats onto the property, which went into our rooms and proceeded to bite my wife and now we have to add rabies shots to our vacation plans. PLEASE exercise caution when staying here, there are many other locations nearby that prioritize guests and still maintaining professionalism when a request is not possible to achieve.

We recently spent five nights at Le Village. As advertised, our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the convenience of having a kitchen, and we had a lovely view from our terrace. The service was exceptional, very warm and pleasant, as well as most professional and prompt. The continental breakfast had a wide selection of items, and the breakfast room and lounge area were most comfortable, also with wonderful views. The downside consisted of two things: we were attacked by mosquitoes every time we sat on our porch or went to the pool. The management provided mosquito coils, spray, and even some repellent, but it still meant we were covered with bites every time we tried to enjoy the outside amenities. Also, we would have been trapped in the hotel if we had not rented a car after the first day. Yes, it is a short walk down to the main shopping and beach area, but the driveway down to the road was close to a 45 degree angle, and the road itself is very steep. This is not an option for anyone who is not comfortable climbing up or down precipitous slopes. Also, at the hotel, there were uneven stone pathways and steps with inadequate railing. This probably would not be a problem for young, very fit individuals, but it was an issue for my husband in particular. Still, we would return there for sure when next visiting Saint Barth, we would just need to plan to rent a car and bring lots of bug repellent.

Lovely stay at Le village , staff is very nice , clean rooms, AC is everything. Location is amazing steps to Nikki beach and Gypsea beach, local restaurants walking distance, the property was very nice and well kept. Breakfast was so good. Will definitely be returning in the future and will recommend to all my friends.

One of the men (I think he was the manager) was super nice and helpful and guided us to great locations to visit! Very nice staff! The rooms are quite basic, though, but most hotels in St. Barths are quite minimal.

We had an amazing first visit to St Barths thanks to the great staff at Hotel le Village! Beginning months before our stay Melveen was incredibly helpful recommending restaurants, beach clubs and making reservations for us. The property itself is very peaceful and quiet, we had a stunning view from our room and plenty of space. We will definitely book here again!

Reserved a room and needed to cancel 24 hours after doing so. They charged me 345 euro for potential loss of income. Give me a break. These people are thieves. Not sure how they justify doing this. I could understand if it was a last minute cancellation, but 24 hours after making it and 6 weeks from date of stay. Says a lot about the conduct of this business. If you stay here, check your bills, they aren’t afraid to take unnecessary fees.

Comfortabel hotel op een prachtige plek. Onze lodge was ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. De receptie was zeer gastvrij en service gericht. Men heeft ons goede diner adviezen gegeven. Iedere dag genoten van een lekker ontbijt met prachtig uitzicht op de baai. ‘‘s middags genieten aan de mooie infinity pool. De eigenaar heeft ons nog naar de luchthaven gebracht omdat onze auto problemen had. Wij hopen hier terug te kunnen komen!

I stayed at Le Village for 6 nights with a friend. Night one we stayed in a traditional room. My friend saw 3 roaches/water bugs in the bathroom in the middle of the night. We let the manager know the next morning and he stated he did not know what a water bug was, and we said they are like roaches, and he said nobody had complained of those. We let it go because we were only in that room for a night.||For the remaining nights we stayed in a standard room (it was not available on night 1 so we paid extra for traditional).||In the middle of the night on night 5 I woke up with excessive itchiness. I turned on the light and these were NOT mosquito bites. These bites were different. They were very small and in small groups and lines. I had them around my wrists/hands, arms, and legs. (I have included pictures) I immediately got out of bed and took off all the sheets. The mattress was NOT encased. The hotel has stated that it is “protected,” however their mattress cover is an old-school cloth one that fits like a fitted sheet, not a BED BUG mattress protector that encases the full mattress. To say the mattress was filthy is an understatement. There were giant stains all over it and it looked like it had not been cleaned in years. In the middle of one of the tufts were clear signs of BED BUG feces. (I have included a picture).||THIS IS WHERE IT ALL WENT *REALLY* DOWNHILL.||When I went to the office the next morning, the owner came in to inspect the situation, agreed that there were signs of BED BUG feces when I showed him pictures online, and said he would change my mattress. I said he couldn’t just change the mattress and needed to do more. I had one more night in St Barth and I didn’t want to take my items that had been exposed and expose another hotel so I asked him what we could do. I WAS NEVER OFFERED ANOTHER ROOM. PEST CONTROL/EXTERMINATOR/HEALTH DEPT/ETC WERE NEVER CONTACTED. THE ROOM WAS NEVER CLOSED.||The hotel’s laundry woman stated she could not get all my items up to the proper temperature due to their fabric and went through what COULD be washed. Not her fault, but my brand-new dress was shrunk and I can no longer wear it.||I went to check-out and discuss compensation as well as what they were planning to do. I was told that since I only got bitten 1 night, and they could not confirm that it was BED BUGS, they would not compensate me other than the night I got bitten and the next night as a “courtesy.” Insane. I was also told that they do not believe I am lying, but they do not believe they have BED BUGS. (I have photos consistent with BED BUGS, I have pictures of their mattress with BED BUG feces, and I went to doctor who stated my bites are aligned with bed bugs and gave me a prescription) I was told that since I saw an American doctor and not an island doctor who is familiar with all types of bugs on the island he could be wrong. I was also told that the BUG feces on the mattress could be from any type of bug, like a ROACH (which they said they didn’t have at this hotel!)||They stated that their mattresses have stickers that say they can’t get BED BUGS, so I couldn’t have BED BUGS. These mattresses were straight out of a horror movie and must be over 10 years old. I cannot imagine that only this one hotel has magic mattresses that cannot get BED BUGS.||They emailed me after I left to let me know they are having the room inspected. This is a moot point. This is only happening because I contacted health authorities and they contacted the hotel. ||Here is what they did do: compensate the night I got bitten and the night after. Da haben wir ja ein kleines Juwel auf St. Barth gefunden! Wir haben das Standardzimmer mit Terrasse gebucht und haben es nicht bereut. Niedlicher kleiner Garten, jeden Abend haben wir den Coquis zugehört. Das Zimmer ist schön, es hat keine Küche, aber einen Kühlschrank und Gläser gibt es auch. Das Badezimmer ist riesig. |Der Pool ist so schön! Mit Blick auf die Bucht von St. Jean. Ich wäre gerne dageblieben...|Auch beim Frühstück kann man den Ausblick genießen. Das Frühstück ist inbegriffen und gut, typisch französisch. Man kann sich einzelne Sachen dazukaufen, z.B. Eier, aber leider auch der Käse war nicht umsonst. |Runter zum Strand und einigen Restaurants sind es ca. 5 Minuten. Leider muss man dann auch den steilen Weg wieder hinaufgehen. Zum Glück sind das nur ein paar Meter, ist schon anstrengend. Generell ist die Insel sehr klein und mit dem Auto erreicht man alles innerhalb weniger Minuten. Die Parkplätze im Hotel sind kostenlos.|Es gibt ein Zimmer, dort kann man sich Beach Chairs, Sonnenschirme, Kühlboxen, Schwimmnudeln...ach einfach alles ausleihen.|Vielen Dank für den netten Empfang und den schönen Aufenthalt!

Nous avons séjourné 3 nuits dans cet établissement. Le cottage avait une vue magnifique sur la baie de St Jean.
Le lit est immense avec une literie très confortable. Le coin cuisine à l'extérieur est très pratique.
Le petit déjeuner assez complet avec petites salades de fruits, différents pains et viennoiseries. D'autres choix en option payant.
Nous n'avons pas testé la piscine et la salle de musculation.
Le personnel est adorable et disponible.
Une vraie bonne option sur St Barth.

Wir haben uns im Le Village sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Anlage ist wunderschön angelegt. Unser Zimmer war ein Traum. Ein sensationeller Ausblick, eine sehr große Terrasse mit Außenküche, Liegen, Tischen und Hängematte. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer sind sehr sauber und wir wurden jeden Tag mit allen pflegeproduckten versorgt. Wir waren 22 Tage im Le Village und sehr zufrieden. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Frisches Brot, Croissants, Joghurt, Früchte, Honig Marmelade, Säfte, Müsli und vieles mehr kann mit bei einem wundervollen Blick auf St. Jean genießen. Sehr hilfsbereites und nettes Personal, war immer bei Fragen und Wünschen behilflich. Es gibt auch eine Eiswürfelmaschine und einen Raum, wo man sich alles für einen Strandtag ausleihen kann. Stühle, Sonnenschirme, Kühlboxen und vieles mehr. Der wunderschöne infiniy pool bietet einen wunderschönen Blick auf St. Jean. Die Liegen sind sehr hochwertig und dieser Bereich bietet viel Privatsphäre und ist wunderschön mit viel Liebe zur Natur angelegt. Wir waren begeistert. Nicht zuletzt, weil die Lage vom Le Village fantastisch ist. Direkt oberhalb vom Nikki beach und nur ein kurzer Fußweg. Es gibt auch ausreichend Parkplätze, für Mietwagen. Alles in allem ist das Le Village ein perfekter Ort mit einem unschlagbarem Preis/ Leistungsverhältnis. Dankeschön an Catherine,für diesen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt im Le Village. Wir kommen gerne wieder! In 22 Tagen hatten wir genug Zeit, die Insel zu erkunden und unser Fazit ist, dass das Le Village, die Beste Wahl für uns ist. Liebe Grüße an das ganze Team.

Le coup de massue hotelier est devenu courant à Saint-Barth pour des prestations pas toujours au niveau. Le Village est une belle découverte: chambre 12, grande, belles salle de bain et terrasse. Magnifique vue sur la baie de Saint-Jean. Belle piscine à débordement avec vue. Calme. Prévoir d’acheter son apéro (et ses capsules nespresso) au super marché pour le coucher de soleil. Petits bémols: on aurait apprécié des nespresso et un accueil vin blanc ou punch mour une chambre / suite de ce niveau, une clim plus puissante et quelques petites réparations. Bonne literie, bon petit déjeuner et accueil sympathique.

Hôtel très bien, propre, très joli, moderne et bien situé mais tout en montée. Chambre et salle de bain spacieuse et confortable. Vu mer. Très grand lit confortable. Une cafetière mais pas de dosette. Prix moyennement élevé mais très raisonnable pour Saint Barth. Petit déjeuner est inclus, c’est un buffet en salle ouverte vue mer, varié, bon et copieux. Je recommande cet hôtel ????????????????

LE VILLAGE motel
Sewage smell & bed bugs

We wanted to return to Baie des Anges but they were fully booked for May. Our room (595 euros per night) was full of ants especially in the bathroom so we moved to another room (660 euros per night). However, I could smell the sewage smell all night long. When I told the manager the next morning, he said he would have the engineer/maintenance fix it. It was really hard to air out the room because it was so humid outside and not much wind. The manager told us that they had sewage smell in other units but our unit should be fine. When it got really bad, we had Melvin (one of the workers) come up and smell it. The smell was coming from both bathrooms. The owner said her nose can’t smell anything and that no one who rented our unit had complained. (she is good at dismissing and deflecting). I suspect that this is becoming a systemic issue. The water was brown and I bought extra bottles to brush my teeth and wash my face. We didn’t have any issues with Baie des Anges: their water was clean, their beach items were always available where as Le Village never had any beach umbrellas nor boogie boards for the whole 5 nights we stayed.
Also, there are bed bugs in the mattress. You can look up on the internet to see the pattern of the bed bug bites. You can go to the pharmacy to get ointment but what a way to spend your holiday.(Make sure you steam out the suitcases and wash everything in HOT water to kill the bedbugs). Good news, if you can call it that, was I saw only one small roach on the wall. The locks on both units didn’t work despite their attempt to fix it. We met some people on the beach who told us they were paying 175 euros including car rental (you book the hotel thru Gumbs car rental). We went over to check it out. The units are renovated, amazing view, clean without any of the issues we were having. I thought if I paid more, I would be free of any problems. I was wrong.
You do hear the beach club music at night. I thought we were far above the beach but that didn’t seem to help. I missed Baie des Anges ( right on the beach) where we heard the ocean waves all night long. I did enjoy the fruits for breakfast. I also bought fruits from the store and their kitchen did clean and cut them for me when I asked. The sewage smell was truly terrible...wasn't worth it ...Not at 595 euros per night...

Be VERY careful with this hotel. When I booked my room, I received an email saying that if I cancelled less than 45 (yes, FORTY FIVE) days in advance I would forfeit a 30% fee for my booking. I accepted this as I had no plans to cancel. Also, if I am canceling a trip, it is not 45 days in advance. Second, when I unfortunately had to cancel ten days out, instead of keeping 30% of the room fee and returning the other 70%, they kept 100% of the room fee and told me I could find someone to buy me out or just lose my money. I was very hurt and shocked by this shady turn of events, but I went along with them and posted the room for sale on a few third party sales sites. The hotel manager then emailed me and threatened to sue me for trying to find a buyer for the room. I could also see on the website they had re listed my room for 200% of my reservation costs, thereby profiting from both my room fees and the new guest who took my room. These types of shifting policies are a major trap for anyone who travels a lot, has children, might get sick, or just generally has something come up in their life that precludes them from taking a much-anticipated trip. It is hard enough emotionally to have to cancel a special trip, and this hotel throws salt in the wound and rubs it in. DO NOT BOOK.

We just got back from a short stay at the Hotel Le Village and had a fantastic experience!

My wife and I were booking a very last minute vacation (week of), and the team at Le Village were very accommodating and easy to work with. Our flight to St Martin was delayed by 3 hours, so we had to catch the last ferry to St Barths. It was around 8:30pm when we arrived, and they were gracious enough to send van to pick us up at the ferry and bring us to the hotel.

We stayed in a standard room, which was updated and had a fantastic view over St Jean bay.

The complimentary breakfast each morning of fresh pastries and juices were very tasty. We didn’t use the pool or fitness facilities but they looked very nice, and the view from the pool deck was gorgeous.

The hotel is very conveniently located on the island. We rented a car and were easily able to get anywhere in around 10 minutes. There is complimentary parking if you choose to rent a car. You can also arrange rental of the car through the hotel so it is waiting on your arrival. Le Village was a short 5 minute walk down the hill to get to one of the best beaches on the island with beach clubs, great snorkeling, and of course watching the planes landing at the airport. There are also several very good restaurants and shops within walking distance from the hotel.

Overall, we had an amazing experience staying at Hotel Le Village, and will definitely plan a trip back in the future. The rates were very affordable and the staff were all very pleasant and friendly. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of.

Soyez très prudent en réservant avec cet hôtel! Très petit établissement : j'ai accidentellement réservé une chambre pour la mauvaise date et je les ai appelés le lendemain. Personne n'a répondu au téléphone alors j'ai laissé un message. Au lieu de retourner mon appel, les propriétaires de l'établissement m'ont informé par e-mail que si je ne pouvais pas rester aux dates réservées, mon argent serait perdu. De plus, j'ai été informé que je ne pouvais pas utiliser l'argent comme crédit pour une date ultérieure. Jamais rencontré un établissement aussi gourmand.

Comme nous vous l'avions probablement annoncé lors de la réservation, votre réservation était malheureusement non remboursable et non modifiable. Nous n'étions pas en mesure de vous accueillir aux dates demandées, car nous étions complets. Cette période étant la plus chargée pour la propriété et Saint-Barth, nous devons suivre nos politiques à la lettre et nous comprenons parfaitement que cela ne vous convienne pas.

Cet endroit est surestimé et n'est PAS à la hauteur de ses bonnes critiques qui m'ont trompé de réserver. Le service client est inexistant et médiocre à son meilleur. La pire expérience hôtelière que j'ai eue à St. Barths jusqu'à présent.
