HÔTEL LE TOINY

This review is for my fellow American travelers to SBH (St. Barth) and thinking about where to stay.||We've been going to SBH for the past 15 years, usually renting a villa or staying at the Rosewood, both being great decisions.||This year, we opted to do something different and stayed at Le Toiny. To get to the point, we soon realized it was our bigest mistake.||||Hotel Quality & Location||Le Toiny is neither a 5-star or 4-star hotel. The location is way at the bottom of the island—very secluded. Insects infest the area—bees and roaches. The beach itself is essentially worthless because the area is swarming with bees. We questioned the staff at the hotel as to why, and they explained that this was "normal" for the island. Let me make this clear: it is not—only this part of this island has this issue. Even locals friends assured us that locals avoid this side of the island due to the hight amount of insects.||||Cleanliness & Room Service||Our room condition was not satisfactory at all. Floors were sticky, shower hadn't been cleaned for three days, and the only amenities we had were bed making and towel replacement. We didn't have a minibar filled until we complained—after three days. We also noticed an infestation of cockroaches in our room, which we blame for none existent housekeeping.||||Service Experience||No service was offered. Each request was stressful, and there was no hospitality. We were not made to feel welcome and we were neglected. We tried to check out after the first night and pay for the first night that was spent, but we were denied our request. There was no attempt to correct the situation or better the experience after we complained. The pool has dangerous electrical risk—lighting equipment is sticking out, and live electric cables are clearly visible into the pool. This is very dangerous, particularly for children. The AC in the bathroom was not working as well.||||Moreover, as the villas are located deep in the forest, branches of trees constantly hit the roof at night, and it is impossible to have a good night's sleep.||||Final Thoughts||If you're debating between Le Toiny and another reputable hotel like the Rosewood, do yourself a favor and avoid Le Toiny. The hotel lacks attention to detail, guest service, and basic hospitality standards—especially those expected by American travelers.||We were forced to post this review not due to ill intent, but so other people would not have to go through the same letdown that we experienced. ||Le Toiny may look good online, but the reality it’s a nightmare, we you travel choose only big chains hotels to avoid this issues.

My wife and I have stayed here at least six times and it's always has been an outstanding experience. Entire staff is just as friendly and helpful as can be. Privacy and cleanliness are unmatched. Love it !

Nous sommes venus, mon amie et moi, le jeudi soir au Toiny, pour profiter du fire show, de l’ambiance et d’un bon repas sur la plage… Et quel moment hors du temps ! ????????

De A à Z, nous avons été chouchoutés : les serveurs ont pris grand soin de nous, l’accueil était top, l’emplacement parfait, l’atmosphère magique. Franchement, le jeudi soir, c’est à ne pas manquer – ambiance incroyable, vibes ultra positives, c’était une vraie régalade.

Et que dire de la cuisine… Exceptionnelle du début à la fin. Les entrées et plats étaient assaisonnés à merveille, savoureux, raffinés, tout était vraiment délicieux.

Un immense bravo à toute l’équipe, et je recommande cet endroit à 100% à toutes les personnes de passage sur l’île. Un vrai coup de cœur ????

Last night, I experienced pure magic at Le Toiny in St. Barth during their famous Thursday Evening at the Beach Club — a hidden gem that truly knows how to throw an unforgettable party. From the moment I arrived, the adventure began with a safari-style Jeep ride from the hotel entrance down to the beach. Arriving at our dinner reservation, the ambience was nothing short of exceptional. With our feet in the sand, surrounded by elegant décor and soft lighting, it felt like stepping into a dream. The service was flawless, with attentive and gracious staff making sure every guest felt special — and needless to say, the food was divine!

The entertainment was next level — a live saxophonist playing alongside a DJ set the perfect tone, blending rhythm and soul under the stars. Fire eaters lit up the night with mesmerizing performances, while the beach itself turned into a dance floor which buzzed with energy and joy. Surprise props were handed out to guests, adding a playful, immersive element that only those lucky enough to attend will truly understand. The whole evening radiated a warm, welcoming atmosphere that was both intimate and electric.

Le Toiny isn’t just a venue — it’s a secret slice of paradise, and without a doubt one of the most magical spots in all of St. Barth. I can't wait to return with family and friends. Thank you for having us!
