Stayed here for a long weekend, staff were polite and friendly. Room was basic/small but clean. Location is perfect for site seeing, the only down side is the 3 flights of steps that you have to climb/descend next to the hotel to get to all the attractions castle etc :-/ not for the faint hearted or people with mobility problems. Close to train station and opposite the bus station for the airport. Edinburgh is very hilly, with many steps in general.

We had a short but excellent stay at this hotel, the location is spot on for all things Edinburgh, the amenities were excellent and the staff were very accommodating. Would stay here every time we visit Edinburgh without any issues. The rooms were spotless.
