We had fantastic service from Augustine but all the staff were professional and friendly. Food was delicious - the table d’hote is great value and the battered haddock was huge! It’s a special place for lunch so we’ll definitely be back

El sitio es espectacular, muy lujoso, pero la atención en la recepción es muy mala y el servicio de mesa no está a la altura, a la hora de pagar la cuenta tampoco les funcionan los aparatos para el pago con tarjeta porque no llega el wifi a todo el local. La comida, algunas piezas están bien pero otras son demasiado grasientas, el sándwich de huevo y mayonesa nadie lo come, en todas las mesas los dejaban sin comer, eso les debería orientar para cambiar algunos componentes de la bandeja de té.

Sunday roast (lamb) was un eatable,2 slabs of fat,worst ever also the beef.must say we weren't charged for the lamb. But not the point you're in for dinner, so you expect to eat .wife ended in McDonald's round the corner. Place looks the biz but would never return.

Sou muito sincera nas minhas avaliações, porém esse chá da tarde foi decepcionante. Creio que fui com uma expectativa muito alta em relação ao local. O atendimento não foi o melhor, os doces não me surpreenderam em termos de sabor e um dos pães estava com um sabor muito acentuado de fermento. Creio que 64 libras, para 2 pessoas, é um valor alto para o que foi apresentado.

The atmosphere is great! This is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. The food is pretty good, nothing too incredible. The service was not very attentive, but satisfactory. Overall a good time, just not worth the hype.

While looking for a scrumptious afternoon tea, I couldn't have possibly stumbled across a better offer in Edinburgh (that is still affordable). The ambiance is impressive, and the wait staff was very friendly. I especially love that they offer a vegan option, which is not just a simple alternative. In fact, it was the best vegan afternoon tea I had so far.

Absolutely wonderful experience with immaculate service from a very helpful and attentive waiter (didn't catch their name but they were fabulous).Delicious afternoon tea with the best sausage roll ever, scrumptious sandwiches and lovely little cakes. Thank you to all involved.

We were visiting Edinburgh, only a railway day tour, and had two and a half hours to spend in Edinburgh. We know Edinburgh very well, so I booked a table in the Grill Room for drinks and snacks. What a real treat, the staff are smart and well dressed and very polite. Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic cocktails. My wife had two French Martini Cocktails and I two House Old Fashioned. The two hours we relaxed in the Grill Room was a far beer experience than we received on our Premier Dining Trip on the train.

We went for afternoon high tea. We booked two months in advance for a table for five. They gave us a tiny table that cannot even fit all the tea pots ???? it was not a relaxing experience and the place was rather crowded. I don’t recommend their high tea.

Espectacular restaurante, donde la decoración señorial y emblemática, se funden en una cocina exquisita y un servicio atento y conocedor de su oficio. Sin duda un lugar para disfrutar. Sus entrantes y rosbif de ternera, son deliciosos. Volveremos.

Visited the Dome for morning tea. Surroundings were absolutely beautiful, service was good but food was a bit of a let down!! Especially scones & muffins. They were like cheap shop bought produce & very dry. Wouldn't visit again for morning tea. It was also Easter Sunday but the background music was Christmas songs...Bizarre to say the least.

On s'y est arrêté un peu par hasard pour faire une pause, on a été agréablement surpris, tant par l'ambiance très particulière du lieu, qui malgré son passé d'ancienne banque qu'on imagine fort bien avec son énorme dôme qui surplombe la salle principale, offre une atmosphère très conviviale (fauteuils, canapés, chaises hautes, il y en a pour tous les goûts). La fréquentation est très hétérogène, et lui donne un côté très détendu malgré la déco parfois ostentatoire héritée de son histoire passée.
On peut en tout cas y boire et manger pour pas très cher, et même commander directement en ligne sur son smartphone (en téléchargeant l'application de l'établissement) et être servi directement à sa table (qu'on a renseigné dans la commande), très original et pratique !
Bref, si vous voulez reposer un peu les jambes au cours de votre visite de la New Town, n'hésitez pas !
