A really friendly, casual, high quality venue. The food is excellent and the staff very professional and fun with it. I would go back again and again! Rare to see this sort of overall value these days. Superb array of deserts.

I popped in alone from visiting the Botanical Gardens today. Managed to secure a table for a Sunday roast. So exquisitely cooked, a perfect portion. Staff were lovely and attentive but proving space too. I really enjoyed my time here.

Went to Orchard for Sunday lunch. Nice space, great service.

Had the roast which was good but not sensational. The fried haddock looked awesome. Prices were reasonable.

Visited ‘The Orchard’ for lunch with my wife and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We pre-booked a table via their app which was easy to navigate and hassle free. On arrival the place wasn’t busy and we were immediately escorted to our table by the window. Incidentally, I recommend window tables if available as watching passers-by can be a nice distraction if you are dining alone. The staff were friendly and attentive. I opted to order what they advertise as their ‘ legendary steak & ale pie’ with jacketed chip wedges and greens, while my wife had the beetroot, blue cheese risotto. Neither of us were disappointed ???? The pie looked so good when served I wasn’t sure whether to eat it or take it on a date..however the temptation was so great I simply wolfed it down before the wife got a chance to ask for a bite. The pie dish was crammed with gorgeous chunks of tender meat, swimming in equally tasty gravy, that just fell apart when attacked by the fork. It was then topped with a puff pastry lid which served to soak up the gravy to the extent the dish was completely emptied without unnecessary delay. My broccoli was not over done and so had a delicious crunch to it. Likewise, my wife found her risotto delicious although she did say that the blue cheese wasn’t easy to identify within the meal, hence the dropped star. All the same we were both happy to give this a full 5 star rating and wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to others. Absolute value for money ????
Definitely worth repeating the experience to sample other dishes available.

Let's talk about the food. Prices are above average for a pub but the standard presented is well below average. If you order chips, they will be floppy and tasteless. If you order battered fish, it'll be wet and thin. If you order a burger you'll get a stale pretzel roll with wet cabbage.

Location is good, and this place is fine for drinks and the atmosphere and decor is lovely but whatever you do... don't come here for food.

Restaurant bar à l'écart des lieux touristiques. Choix intéressant y compris viande d'Écosse. Large carte des vins. Service aimable comme partout en Ecosse. Tarif en rapport avec la qualité des produits.

Pub très sympathique situé dans un quartier résidentiel. Nous avons eu de la chance d'avoir une place car c'était bondé. La nourriture est un peu plus raffinée que dans un pub classique mais les plats ne sont pas très chers. Nous avons été très bien servi.

Parada perfecta. Cerca del jardín botánico.
El local es muy cálido y confortable.
Muy bonito y tranquilo. La parte de la chimenea es preciosa.
La camarera fue súper amable.

Tomamos unas cervezas y picamos algo.
La sopa del día era de lentejas y zanahoria y eran unas 5£.
También pedimos mejillones que estaban bastante buenos.

Lo recomiendo 100%

We had a roast dinner - food was not as good as advertised online.

It was cold, potatoes were underdone and not crispy and the meat was quite gritty.

The pub itself was nice on the eye. Would definitely recommend if you just want a drink.

Went there for my birthday meal after went to Christmas at the Botanics with family. Had a delicious Beetroot and blue cheese risotto. Ice cream was brilliant. Friendly staff and cosy place.
