NOT RECOMMENDED - Stale food , both me and my wife are suffering from vomiting after having food . Dosa was not fresh and in name of sambhar was just a plain daal. Much better options available in Edinburgh. Avoid at all cost

Beautiful mosaics on walls everywhere worth seeing alone...food delicious and fresh, waiter made me a dosa masala on request...rice pudding with pistachio was a tasty dessert to finish, very friendly. Last time I was here was 30 years ago and food still amazing ????

We stumbled upon Kalpana restaurant while exploring Edinburgh, and it turned out to be a delightful find. Throughout our six-day stay, we found ourselves returning to this veg haven every single day. The food was exceptional, with the dosas being a personal favorite. Both the chef's dedication truly shone through in every bite. The manager along with the entire staff, exuded warmth and hospitality, making our dining experience memorable. Whether you're a vegetarian or simply curious about authentic Indian cuisine, Kalpana is a must-visit. From the impeccable customer service to the freshness of the food and the inviting ambiance, every aspect was commendable. Dining here transported us to various parts of India, leaving us with a sense of nostalgia and satisfaction. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a taste of India in the heart of Edinburgh.
