SPENCER'S RESTAURANT

It was our family’s favorite place to eat for only a short period. Their food is good, but after being pushed out by a bigger party a couple of times, we realized there was no point in making a reservation here as we literally had to argue with the manager to get the outside seating we had reserved. We had some important guests from out of county with us, and it was a terrible experience having to argue with them to get a table outside, which is where we had made the reservation. They pushed us to the awkward spot where it was not inside nor outside, stating that they had to give the table we had reserved to a bigger party. We gave them another chance but had another similar experience. Not going back anymore.

This shouldn’t happen at a “classy sophisticated “ restaurant. Out of a party of 15, my wife’s chicken dinner never arrived. The waiter said the order had been lost in the kitchen and offered to provide a glass of wine as she waited. The dish arrived 30 minutes later, just as the rest of us completed the dinner

When the bill arrived I was shocked to see the chicken and wine still on the bill. I notified the waiter and he said he’d check with the manager. He returned and said his manager would waive the wine but not credit the chicken. I said this was unacceptable and asked to see the manager. About 15 minutes later the waiter returned and said the manager had waived half the meal price and if I still wanted to talk to her, she wouldn’t be available for another two hours.

It’s a matter of principle. When that happened the meal should have been comped immediately. It never should have required two different trips by the waiter to get approval. And then for the manager to refuse to come see us unless we waited an additional two hours is horrible customer service. It was a 34$ chicken dish and to cause this drama over 17$ just showed a total lack of accountability and professionalism at primarily the management level. It’s a shame as the food was very good and the atmosphere terrific, but that was wiped away for all 15 of us due to that lack of leadership and professionalism

This is an Amazing hidden Gem!!!

This is my favorite restaurant in the Coachella valley. They have always delivered great tasting food in a wonderfully soothing, relaxing, setting. It's right by the mountains in downtown Palm Springs.

The service has always been impeccable. Delfina, our server last night, is one of the best! She flowed with our every need. She was very knowledgeable of our food choices.

This is one of our regular places that we always so enjoy. We highly recommend it!

Service, food and ambiance was very nice. Definitely recommend this place. It's on the pricey side but we'll worth it.
