MOONSHADOWS MALIBU

Sweetest staff!!???? Amazing vegan GF options on their menu (beet salad, risotto, Thai curry) and great drinks, really lovely staff!!! We had such a beautiful date evening here with the warm fire heaters.???? Also, we were staying literally a couple of houses down from where Moonshadows is, at an airbnb, and having brought various ingredients to make hummus one of the days, and after already needing to Doordash tahini, we finally began to make the hummus only to realize we needed some lemon juice!???? I thought I’d try checking if Moonshadows had any lemons that I might be able to randomly purchase (I presumed they would for their bar!), and they kindly gave it to me on the house???? ..They were also awesome when we had guests over last night and realized there was no water filter in the house and my bf had to run and get several bottles of water!????

Amazing view and decent food

I've dined and had several lovely lunches at Moonshadows. However, during my most recent visit (February 11) I sadly left my CHANEL glasses behind. I called the next day to confirm if they had been found and was told they found them. The woman (Ashley) on the phone verified the location of where I was sitting to match the place where my sunglasses were found. I thanked her and told her I would pick them up. I drove from Santa Barbara to find out my glasses were picked up by someone else!!! What?? I asked the manager for an explanation and he tried to make excuses of why my sunglasses were given to someone else who according to him described them in detail. I'm beyond disappointed and frustrated ! The manager (Alessandro) then proceeded to ask me for a receipt of my sunglasses!! Are you kidding me??
They give away any valuable items to random people?? There's no verification to claim a lost item?? I expect an explanation from this establishment! I haven't heard back from the Alessandro. I expect further investigation into who claimed my sunglasses and who gave them away! This is unacceptable!

The server was impeccable and saved the situation somehow, but it took the chef 40 minutes to prepare the salmon.

The waiter was disrespectful and rude .I was celebrating my birthday with my family and honestly I couldn't really enjoy the food or drinks. The waiter was rude from the beginning, once it was time to pay the bill he started acting nice. He even brought out a small cake for me, but honestly it was one of the worst experiences. Maybe he was tired or maybe someone had already ruined his day. The food was good the man that actually brought out the plates was a really sweet man I didn't get his name but he was different than our waiter. The receipt said that our waiters name was( Johnny) .
