DUKE'S MALIBU

The view of the ocean from our table was great. Service could not have been better and the food, especially the pies were so delicious. Never have I seen a pie like the hula pie. So great.

Mala experiencia he visitado el de Huntington beach y es totalmente diferente y mejor en cuanto al precio del valet parking, atención y sobre todo la comida este de Malibú para mí fue malísima y pesima experiencia comenzando por el mesero segundo el menú no hay más opciones y para rematar pido mis hamburguesas well done y me las llevaron quemadas ???? del coraje asta olvide tomarle fotos definitivamente no recomiendo ni vuelvo a visitar este lugar ???? no se si nos trataron así por ser latinos o fue solo mala suerte

Duke's is a staple of Malibu so I had to check it out. It's kinda interesting how this place is basically two restaurants in one. A more fancy dinner place and a chill bar/restaurant type place with sports on the TV. There's even two menus but you can order from either one in the bar. In my opinion, the bar area was the superior spot since it has the outside patio seating attached to it, and we didn't have to wait 20 minutes to be seated in the inside fancy dinner area. We just sat ourselves right away. It was kind of cold outside so we sat near the patio and had an amazing ocean view without freezing. The fish tacos were good. The fish chowder was really good. I'm kind of a connoisseur of clam chowders but I don't actually like clams that much & this one had chunks of white fish & crab & a great creamy flavor. It was a little on the thick side but would definitely order again. Our server was super nice and checked on us a lot even tho it was crowded which I didn't expect. The Hulu pie was amazing it's a giant chunk of macadamia but Ice cream with fudge topping basically. My husband and I shared it and almost couldn't finish it. The drinks were good. The Lava Flow was especially yummy. The Jungle Bird was interesting not my favorite it was kind of sour. My husband had a burger that was exactly how he would want it at home with lots of onion and cheese.

Great food, great view, great staff. Loved everything about Duke's except the traffic on the drive to get there.

Fun little spot with locations across California and Hawaii. Really nicely done Hawaiian vibe with decent food. Enjoyed the ocean view and lively atmosphere. The chicken tenders were crunchily breaded, but the fries were a little soggy. Probably the biggest downside of the visit. Our waitress (Carmin) was very attentive and kind. The Hula pie was creamy and delicious. Definitely worth trying. Keep up the good work, Duke’s!
