THE NOMAD HOTEL LOS ANGELES

I’m not sure I understand some of the more negative reviews. I’m very impressed with the value for the price. Jasmine and Sarah at check in gave me a great welcome package with Prosecco and a few chocolate treats after a difficult travel day. Daily F&B credit, complimentary wine and dessert were explained well.

Room is smaller, but carefully designed and appointed. No space is wasted. Water pressure in the large shower is a rare dream in a hotel and large bathtub fills quickly (the shelf by the tub doubled as an iPad stand to catch up on my shows). Shower door closes from floor to ceiling so you can really enjoy a steamy shower without fogging up the room. Closet is spacious and even includes a clothing steamer. Very little noise from adjacent rooms.

Pool/rooftop is really lovely. Restaurant staff are great. Room had a very minor issue and guest services offered to move me to a lovely room right away (but I kept my cozy one). Maybe I’m easily persuaded by charming details and nice staff, but it seems clear that a lot of effort goes into making the hotel feel like a good value for guests.

Hotel Per La is a great option in downtown LA. I was skeptical of the location as far as safety goes, but I walked a mile in one direction and around the immediate block, and felt perfectly fine (in fact, it was a great area!)

The building is incredible - the former headquarters for Bank of America! They kept the original structure and hardware in the restaurant, which is beautiful. The hotel combines it's history with unique, eccentric furniture in a way that blends together naturally.

Tall ceilings in the thoughtfully designed rooms. Recommend!

I stay 99% of the time in Marriott Hotels. I liked this one. It was unexpected and pleasant.

Great location, excellent atmosphere, beautiful architecture and spacious rooms (king studio recommended - 10 nights)

Staff were so accommodating, breakfast and dinner are excellent - nice touch with the free dessert and free wine at dinner.

This is our new go to hotel for our LA visits and the experience makes it a lovely home away from home setup

Really liked our stay here. I found the rooms smaller than I realized in photos but the food and service at the restaurant was amazing. Also so impressed with the decor, it felt like just a lovely stay from start to finish. Would recommend having a rental car so you can see the spots around LA as downtown isn’t the nicest but that isn’t their fault.
