We regret not having listened to the negative reviews.

The mattresses are wrapped in plastic foil. Really disgusting to sleep on something like that.

No air conditioning in our room. According to the note, there must be an automatic one running somewhere, but there was no sign of it in our room. Fortunately there was a rattling mini fan.

Regularly extremely loud behavior throughout the house. Whether in the bar or in the rooms.

Windows to the main street without bars and the underground parking garage with permanently open access does not convey a great sense of security.

Free washing facilities, although several machines were not usable due to defects. Great kitchen equipment, cute breakfast offer.

When I arrived at this hostel. I saw it the same as others I have traveled around the world. But on Friday when I came back from the street. I found a sign that said barbecue and free drinks . Friday 8 pm . I really didn't believe it . But as I started to hear the dance music . I cheered up and went out to their terrace . And it was true . His team prepared a great integration party. The atmosphere was excellent. The music and the attention was unbeatable. I recommend this Hostel. Especially for its human warmth. Something that is very difficult to find in these times.

Fine for what I needed it for: a single night to sleep, near-ish to the Largo where I was seeing a show. I booked a private room, which was clean and well made-up, not exactly spotless, but comfortable enough.

Staff was generally not available at the front desk: I'm not sure what their hours are, but when I arrived around 7:30 AM, I was let in by a person who stayed in the lobby overnight because the desk wasn't staffed overnight. During the daytime, ringing the bell brought someone to the front, but one of the staff seemed annoyed about my ringing the bell. Everyone was polite enough though, and I was able to get all my questions answered.

One thing to note is that their front door has a key code, so if you're arriving at a time when their front desk isn't staffed, you might not be able to get in, unless you get lucky and there happens to be another guest there.

Breakfast was very bare bones (fruit, instant oatmeal, packaged pastries, and coffee), but it worked well for me as a light breakfast before starting the day, and saved me from having to walk around outside to get my caffeine fix.

I tried to made a reservation through the Banana bungalow page and it clearly said that I needed to wait for the confirmation.

So I’ve waited for it and it never came. I sent emails and even made calls and they NEVER reply. It was impossible to have a communication with someone from there.
I had to book in another hostel since I never got the confirmation and now, a week later I see a $41 charged fee from Banana bungalow. I think it is incredible not responsible. I sent an email as well for this and they didn’t reply back.

I stayed there with a friend over the weekend and had a great time in West Hollywood. We enjoyed my stay and Michael at the front desk was a great and very kind.
