No es un hotel de 5 estrellas, está muy bien ubicado pero necesita una renovación, los colchones son de muelles y los muebles viejitos. El personal es muy amable pero están desbordados, necesitan más gente para poder dar un servicio a la altura. En cualquier caso Matera es un lugar espectacular!????

Nous avons passés deux nuits dans cet hôtel, chambre 61, le cadre est magnifique et un grand merci à Angelica de la réception qui nous à énormement aidé et conseillé dans l'organisation de notre séjour. Elle a rendu ce séjour vraiment génial ! Ses collègues dont je n'ai pas les noms était tout aussi professionnels !
Le petit déjeuner était excellent, la pizzeria aussi.
Enfin le restaurant RegiaCorte, l'expérience était correcte mais pas à la hauteur de nos attentes pour une soirée d'anniversaire. Une table mal placée entre le guéridon de service et la cave des vins blancs, un verre de vin oublié dans l'accord met et vin, et autres, ce n'était pas optimal. Nous avons tout de même pu prendre le dessert sur la terrasse comme demandé et le serveur nous a offert un digestif pour le désagrément du vin ce qui nous a laisser sur une bonne impression.
En revanche bravo au chef, la cuisine était tout simplement excellente de A à Z!

Very nice hotel. Location is pretty unbeatable.

Rooms felt a bit underwhelming. We were in a cave-room(?) which is quite stunning, but felt a little dated in bathroom, confusing shower. And lacked amenities for a 5 star.

Breakfast is fantastic, with great choice and setting.

Overall service was on point.

Received welcome drinks with their restaurant piu sud but service their and welcome was very poor ( later ate there and was good food)

Superbe hôtel au coeur de Matera. Environnement imprenable. Chambres tout confort et originales. Personnel charmant et aux petits soins. Un grand merci à Michele pour son petit-déjeûner et à Giorgio et Iris pour leur accueil.

A very memorable stay for sure…we spent two nights in a cave room and it was very special!! I wouldn’t recommend any more than two nights in this room as the caves are more humid and our things started to feel damp by the third day. The hotel is in the perfect location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant provides a wonderful breakfast selection and we also enjoyed a beautiful dinner there too. The views are fantastic from anywhere in the hotel. I would recommend wearing shoes with good soles as the stone pathways and stairs in the city of Matera are very slippery. Absolutely recommend staying at the St Angelo for a night or two to remember!!
