Our stay at Palazzo Daniele in Pulia was a dreamy escape, perfect for a romantic vacation. This 19th-century palazzo, transformed into a design retreat with 11 suites and apartments, marked itself as the most wonderful place we experienced during our travels.

For those seeking a distinct experience away from the crowds in the south of Italy, Palazzo Daniele is a must-visit. The staff's evident love for the region shines through in the delightful food and wine they offer, creating an immersive and romantic atmosphere.

We chose to spend an entire week at Palazzo Daniele, and it turned out to be the best decision. If you plan to explore the area, having a car is advisable. While the palazzo doesn't have designated parking, there's free parking outside that's relatively easy to find.

Simply the most incredible place - everything was perfect and beautiful from the design and aesthetics blending old with new, the modern art and historical features, food was exceptional and the rooms and grounds including the pool were stunning. The staff team including the chefs were just lovely and super accommodating, I didn’t want to leave after 4 days.

Extremely beautiful and elegant, and a little oasis thanks to the verdant walls which cool down the property down substantially. However, the village church bells ringing every 15 minutes throughout the night made a good sleep difficult. This was particularly the case as the air conditioning wasn’t working properly and the windows had to be left open (despite an attempt to fix the air conditioning, it wasn’t fixed and no discount for this was offered upon check out)

Incredible stay with a gorgeous pool, phenomenal well curated food, and kind staffing. We stayed on the property for 2 nights and enjoyed every minute. The private dinner in their garden was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip. The food was also some of the best we had in our Puglia tour.

It’s dreamy ambiance gives you the perfect time away and every detail from staff to service is exceptional. Amazing authentic food in a relaxed setting. Fabio from the reception is utter helpful at any time of the day.

We were confused by some of the low ratings - our experience was fantastic, especially the service. Once you step in the little door you can't help but have your mouth drop open. The place/palace is stunning. Every turn is more beautiful than the next.
I always appreciate a tour of the property at check in, and Ricardo did just that. The rest of the staff were so attentive and accommodating, including Valeria, who helped translate during our cooking lesson and Fabio who hooked us up with a last minute booking at Cinque Vele beach club.
The food was good, some of it was great. The breakfast was so simple but plentiful and very freshly made.
Location-wise, the palace is the destination and is situated on a piazza where locals convene nightly as the heart of the community. We really appreciated it feeling so authentic and not overrun with tourists. It's a charming little town.
Overall we loved our stay. It's totally unique and very very special.

great atmosphere and ambience

Palazzo Daniele is unlike anywhere we've ever stayed. From the moment you walk into this stunning place, there's a sign that says 'This House is Not A Hotel'. That's exactly how our stay felt here.

Firstly, the grounds, aesthetic of the rooms and carefully curated spaces are all stunning. It's the perfect balance of history and modernity.

The people here (who are all hired locally from the Salento region) are just the most beautiful people. They all radiate warmth and goodness and are so accomodating to every need you may have.

The open-plan kitchen does really make it feel like a house as you can walk through and see what the cooks are making. Leveraging the local produce from the Salento region, these cooks are absolute master chefs. Every dish was incredible.

The breakfast here is also an event in itself with the pastry chef putting her heart and soul into the most delicate baked Italian treats.

Roberto, who runs Palazzo Daniele was an absolutely great guy who genuinely loves what he does. He was so personable and really made you feel you were part of his home.

This really is a hidden gem and one that my wife and I will keep coming back to.
