I would consider this a mid-level resort, not high end. It was lovely, mostly quiet with the most amazing, attentive staff and excellent food. The beaches were slightly disappointing, as they are small, choked with mangroves on one side and too close to the dock where boats come in, making it smell like gasoline in the afternoons from all the activity from island hopping tours, etc.
However, in the early mornings it was absolutely beautiful and we'd often see tropical fish zipping around. The cabanas were pretty and comfortable, the bar very close and the drinks were excellent and very reasonable. The rooms were in good working order and pretty. We did have an issue with a strong smell one night, and they moved us to a different room with no further incidents.
We felt very safe and well cared for and I would def return, as I feel it was an excellent value and wonderful experience.
