Our plane was delayed so we arrived at our cabin late with nowhere to buy food. A 10-minute walk away was this delightful haven. We were warmly greeted, and after some superb advice, we enjoyed a very special meal. I would highly recommend.

Had gone there a few years ago, it was fantastic. The braised deer shoulder cooked by the chimney was to die for.

Wir genossen zuerst die Sauna mit Eisbaden in einer romantischen Winterlandschaft und liessen uns dann im Restaurant verwöhnen. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und haben uns gut beraten. Das Essen selbst war einfach köstlich! Es scheint als hätte der Koch wirklich Freude an seinem Beruf, die verschiedenen Gerichte waren in sich spannend und kulinarisch ein Genuss.

We were looking for places where to go and have a typical dinner eating local and we could not find anything better.
The food was delicious, the atmosphere great and the service even better.
The lady and the young guy described each course perfectly and they were always checking on us making sure everything was perfect. We totally recommend this restaurant, looking forward to coming back :)

If you’re in the area, this place is a go-to. Get the reindeer shoulder - it’s so worth it! Coming from the states I was a little nervous this would be too gamey for me: it’s not at all. It’s cooked on an open fire right in front of you and served with mashed potatoes and veggies. This place has a great atmosphere and the waiter was really nice! 10/10 would recommend coming here for a great dinner. If you haven’t tried reindeer meat, this is a perfect spot to try it!

This place is a must if you’re nearby Saariselkä. Amazing ambiance, excellent service, and the best food I’ve had in this area. The owner was awesome and guided us through an extremely pleasant evening. The mushroom soup and fire roasted reindeer shoulder were the stars of the show but everything was honestly top notch. They have an extensive wine menu as well. Can’t speak highly of this place enough.

The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and takes pride in locally and sustainably made cuisine. Excellent quality and variety. Extensive wine list but don’t sleep on the cocktails!

If you’re in the area this is a must go! As soon as we walked in the door we knew we hot a gem. We were greeted with kindness and welcomed as if we were home. The cozy restaurant has a small table in front of an open fire where we enjoyed very delicious cocktails until our appetizers came out. The food was OUTSTANDING. We had mushroom soup and cured reindeer meat served with tomatoes prepared 3 different ways. Both delicious!! Then our main courses: pan seared mallard and reindeer tenderloin. Both cooked to perfection. The chef came out to greet us and was a joy to speak with and learn more about the food and preparations. Don’t skip dessert and ask about their special hot cocktails which are also delicious. They are only open. Short while longer and then will close until the season picks up. If you are in town…definitely go visit. You will not be disappointed. We loved it so much, we are actually going back tomorrow to enjoy some dishes we missed.

The service is outstanding. Cute and cozy atmosphere. Can’t go wrong.
