This was our first time to Finland and Northern lights were at the top of our list. We had heard amazing reviews about the Beyond Arctic tour company and had made a booking much in advance. But as we arrived in Finland, we were met with a snowstorm and a KP Index of 1. We were so disheartened and had lost all hope of seeing anything. We were also on the verge of cancelling our trip. But we decided to take the trip anyway just for the adventure. Then came Finn from Beyond Arctic. He was no less than a Santa Claus to us. From the moment, the tour started, he made us believe that not all hope is lost. Now we were all part of the mission of chasing the lights. He kept sharing his strategies with us while we were chasing the northern lights with the maximum speed that was legally possible.
Then Voila!. We were out of the snow storm and were able to see the stars again. And not long after that we started seeing some activity in the sky. It was unreal. So without wasting anytime, Finn quickly gathered his gears and paved a path for us amidst the knee high snow in the arctic forest. And then without realising we reached the most spectacular location you could imagine. We were standing on top of a frozen river looking at the most spectacular display of Northern lights. Against all the odds, the display kept getting stronger and lasted for more than 45 mins. It was the most memorable experience of my life. And all thanks to Finn for making this possible.

The northern light views during this tour were incredible, even though the evening started with a really cloudy weather. Our guide, Finn was very passionate about and experienced with chasing aurora and went out of his way to make sure we got a great show. He was patient and excited the whole time and I feel he brought a hope and positivity against what started as a disappointing weather. We ended up getting an experience of a lifetime with stunning dancing aurora. Can't recommend this tour enough! Totally worth it!!

È stato un viaggio fantastico e l’esperienza più bella è stata con questa agenzia e con le guide Sara e Rajmond, che ci hanno fatto vivere momenti davvero speciali!! Abbiamo “cacciato” l’aurora per ore e alla fine siamo arrivati quasi fino in Svezia, ma lo spettacolo è stato straordinario. La strada ne è valsa davvero la pena!!
Le guide Sara e Rajmond sono preparatissimi, ci hanno fatto divertire e sono stati davvero premurosi nei nostri confronti! Hanno portato con loro tutto quello di cui avremmo potuto aver bisogno durante l’escursione. Bravissimi!! Se volete un mix tra bellezza e divertimento, scegliete loro!!

Escursione favolosa insieme alla guida Rajmond, appassionato e simpaticissimo! Oltre ad aver guidato per ora per farci vivere lo stupendo spettacolo dell’autore boreale, ci ha raccontato storie e leggende sull’Aurora attorno al fuoco ed è stato tutto molto suggestivo, compresa la “magia” finale. Complimenti a Rajmond e a tutta l’agenzia per l’ottima organizzazione del nostro viaggio!

Caccia all’aurora davvero eccezionale!
Bellissima escursione alla caccia dell’aurora con Sara, guida molto preparata e appassionata. Io, mia moglie e nostro figlio di 4 anni abbiamo scelto un’escursione privata, per avere più flessibilità essendo nostro figlio ancora piccolo. L’escursione è stata ben organizzata sia dall’agenzia che dalla nostra guida. Sara ha portato con sé tutto quello di cui avremmo potuto aver bisogno durante l’uscita, persino un sacco a pelo per nostro figlio in caso addormentandosi avesse avuto bisogno di più calore! Prima di partire, ha studiato con gli strumenti dell’agenzia il percorso migliore per la caccia e durante l’escursione si è costantemente tenuta in contatto con le altre guide per aggiornamenti. Ha guidato per 5 ore da Rovaniemi fino alla Svezia e ha fatto davvero di tutto per riuscire a farci vedere lo spettacolo dell’aurora!

Siamo andati a caccia all'aurora con Rajmond, guida e fotografo preparato, simpatico e professionale. Esperienza indimenticabile. Finalmente abbiamo realizzato il nostro sogno di vedere le Northen Lights!!! Grazie Beyond Artic e Rajmond

Wir haben eine Foto-Nordlicht-Tour gebucht und waren mit Markus unterwegs. Alles war total gut organisiert. Wir wurden überpünktlich von unserer Ferienwohnung abgeholt und erst mal zur Lagebesprechung ins Büro gefahren. Dort gab es für jeden einen Rucksack mit Sitzkissen und Grillutensilien fürs Lagerfeuer, eine Thermoskanne mit Heißgetränk und eine Stirnlampe - super! Wer wollte, konnte sich (im Preis inbegriffen) entsprechende Kleidung und Schuhe leihen. Markus erklärte uns am Computer war zur Polarlicht-Wahrscheinlichkeit und dann ging es los. Wir sind insgesamt 2 Spots angefahren, insgesamt haben wir ca. 40 m Strecke von Rovaniemi zurück gelegt. An beiden Spots wurden wir fündig. Markus hat viele Fotos von uns unter den Polarlichtern gemacht. Erst als alle zufrieden waren, ging es weiter zum Barbeque. Nun warten wir auf die Fotos, die uns innerhalb von 2-6 Tagen zugesandt werden sollen und sind schon ganz gespannt :-)

Enttäuscht waren wir nur von den Polarlichtern selbst. Denn uns war nicht klar, dass man die Farbe der Lichter mit bloßem Auge gar nicht sehen kann, sondern nur durch die Kamera. Daher sind wir umso mehr froh, eine FOTO-Tour gebucht zu haben, damit wir zumindest schöne Fotos von den Polarlichtern haben.

Ich würde jederzeit wieder eine Tour mit Beyond Arctic buchen. Es waren alle super nett, auf Nachfragen wurde schnell reagiert und Markus kannte sich wirklich super aus mit allen Themen, die uns interessierten.

Leider haben wir aufgrund des Wetters keine Nordlichter gesehen. Wir sind fast bis an die Grenze nach Schweden gefahren. Unser Guide hat sich sehr bemüht und alles zum Thema Nordlichter erklärt. Das hat uns gut gefallen. Kleidung kann ohne Aufpreis ausgeliehen werden. Allerdings haben wir nicht einmal die Kamera ausgepackt. Auf der Website steht, dass Landschaftsbilder gemacht werden, wenn man keine Nordlichter sieht. Wir sind allerdings nur im Auto gefahren und haben einen kurzen Stopp zum Würstchen essen gemacht. Auch im Anschluss gab es keine Fotos per Mail (es wurden ja auch keine Fotos gemacht). Wir waren nicht so zufrieden...

Wir gingen mit Meri auf Nordlicht Jagd und hatten gleich Glück diese zu erwischen. Konnten sehr viele schöne Bilder machen und Meri hat einem geholfen die Kamera einzustellen. Am besten werden die Bilder mit einem Stativ ( auch fürs Handy) das man dort auch bekommt.
Sie hat auch tolle Bilder von einem gemacht vor den Nordlichtern.
Es war eine Freude die Tour zu machen und nochmals vielen Dank für das tolle Erlebnis ????

It had been always my bucket list since long and it was not that easy to accomplish in my life. The day had high solar activities but the weather was full of cloudy and foggy.
However we managed 2nighs ago! With our very first Aurora hunting with Oren the guide.
He put a lot of effort to find the right place and amazing pictures ????
The night the Aurora danced when I close my eyes for taking a sleep.
I will never be able to forget it.????????

La persévérance de notre guide a fini par payer puisque nous avons enfin vu de nombreuses aurores boréales. Avec le ciel nuageux, ce n’était pas gagné et nous avons beaucoup roulé, testé différents spots jusqu’à enfin trouvé L’endroit !
Un guide très sympathique, très motivé, passionné, qui adore nous partager ses connaissances sur les aurores et la région.
L’escale saucisse/chamallow dans un tipi autour d’un feu était sympathique.

This was our first visit to Rovaniemi. I wish to thank our very special guide Natasha for yesterday evening's tour (13/02/24). She did her utmost to show us the aurora's activity, moving to 3 different locations where we finally succeeded in watching this spectacular event on a starry night. Natasha is a very knowledgeable and passionate guide who loves her job, very dedicated and committed to answering our requests. She made our evening a memorable souvenir.

Der Erfolg der Northern Lights Touren ist natürlich komplett abhängig vom Wetter. Wir hatten das Pech, mehrere Tage Tauwetter zu haben. Das heißt, der Himmel war ununterbrochen bewölkt und es schneite. Die Guides tun ihr bestes, spontan irgendwo hin zu fahren, wo der Himmel aufbrechen könnte, und sie zeigen einem schöne Stellen, an denen sie auch schöne Fotos machen, die man sich später herunterladen kann. Nach mehreren Stunden Fahrt war eigentlich noch das obligatorische Campfire geplant, was bei einer Borealis auch richtig Sinn macht, aber unsere Gruppe war sich zum Glück einig, lieber früher zurück zu fahren. Wir hatten das Glück einer tollen niederländischen Guidin namens Charlotte, mit der wir einen schönen und lustigen Abend erleben durften. Schade, dass er nicht grün endete.

I really liked this tour company that I kept signing up for more! During my stay, I did back country skiing with Natasha (she was absolutely lovely and quirky!), northern lights tour (unfortunately we didn’t see anything with the cloudy skies, but our guide Ryan from California made sure that we had a photo shoot and drove us all the way to Sweden), and ice climbing (this was contracted out to Pyha, a fun experience ice climbing on a frozen waterfall)

During my stay at Rovaniemi, I've booked two activities: exploring the Frozen waterfalls and chasing the Northern Lights. We were accompanied by local guides that knew perfectly their region and the better spots, plus they were professionnal photographs. I've spent circa 300€ and it was worth. The expeditions were very nice, unfortunately Mother Nature didn't gave us the Northern Lights - at least, I've seen much more stars in the Lapland sky compared to France. Thank you for these expeditions and the photos!

Local tour guide specialising in small group excursions with a focus on photography. In particular, the husky tour (Call of the Wild, which is run via Bearhill Husky) and the national park hike (Riisitunturi Wilderness Adventure with tour guide Ryan) were the highlights of our trip. Thank you to all of the Beyond Arctic team who were friendly, energetic and gave great advice for the cold weather.

We booked many different tours with Beyond Artic but the tour with Oren Singer was the best. He was super experienced, well prepared us before the tour, he was passionate with photography and took the best shoot for everyone. Oren was the star and thank you for last night tour

My older kids did the ice climbing introduction which was very exciting and great value for money. Small group and lots of chances to climb. Would definitely recommend.

My review is going to be long, so please bear with me. I did the Aurora Hunt with Beyond Arctic on 17 Jan 2024. Their guide, Ryan picked us up from our desired location. He welcomed us warmly and was super super friendly while he took us to their office to get dressed up. Then he helped us find the proper clothing we need and literally gave us everything we needed. We also asked for 2 Tripods which he also gave us. We were a group of 8 people. He kept on explaining every single details about the Aurora Borealis while we were driving to the spot. We reached there, the first thing he said that we can always go back to the Car if we have any issues in the cold + they also have a Finnish Kota where he lit up the fire! He kept on taking pictures Idk infinite times and never complained once even though tbh I went super extra with my requests, but man he was the Best. We went back to the Kota to grill some sausages (normal meat, turkey, vegan) and also have some berry juice, he didn’t eat but he was going out and checking everytime if the Aurora is stronger. Once he came and told us it was a bit better and some of us ran. He kept on taking pictures btw in that while. He set my camera up and also tried to capture some photos, even though honestly mine wasn’t that best camera. He did more than I even imagined. I went back again with him to capture some Aurora on camera and he played with his Camera skills while suggesting some good ways to photograph the Aurora. The aurora was not that bright for the naked eyes but we could still spot it. But I would rate this trip 100 stars because he made this Hunt memorable and beautiful. He is a really good and amazing soul who is super passionate about what he does. He would never complain about taking multiple photos, he would do anything and everything possible to make sure you are comfortable during the trip. He tries super hard that people actually get to see aurora and also get really amazing pictures! He is an amazing photographer. While heading back, he kept on checking the sky multiple times even though the time was OVER. I decided if I go back again for the Aurora, I want to go with Beyond Arctic and make sure it’s Ryan. He made my Rovaniemi trip 1000 times better. I highly recommend Ryan and Beyond Arctic.

It was our favorite tour so far. We booked the photographic aurora tour. Markus was a great guide, told us a lot of facts about northern lights, made sure we were warm, and made a lot of pictures of everyone so we had great pictures of this memorable moment. Unfortunately one person of the group felt sick and we had to go back, so we couldn’t go further and hunt the auroras more.

Highly recommended. Marcus was an EXCELENT guide. Definetly one of the best days of my live.

Absolutely amazing company. We did 2 tours with them. One was a northern lights tour and the other was a reindeer tour. In our holidays we did 3 northern lights tours and the one we did with Finn and beyond artic was by far the best. He was amazing and took the extra mile to search out the best spot for the lights. If you want to see the northern lights there honestly is no one better than finn and beyond Artic.

For the raindeer sled ride we went with Anni who was amazing who looked after all our needs and took some great photos.

Eine der korrekt arbeitet muss immer belohnt werden. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!! Und wir haben am 12.januar ein Nordlicht Tour gehabt , alles wie versprochen danke nochmal !!!
