I stayed over night in this beautiful manor-hotel. The old main building is classic style manor house. It has 24 rooms. The hotel has a side building built 1970's which has more rooms, a large congress center and a nice small spa. The expansion building is of typical 1970's ugly concrete style. Luckily it is partly hidden from the old building.

I would recommend to get a room from the Manor for the classy athmosphere. The food is great and wine recommendations excellent in the Manor restaurant. The service is good and friendly. The spa is small but it is nice and clean. It has 5 different saunas, pool and yakuzzi. You get an access to the Spa as a hotel quest. During the summer there is a beautiful park and beach as the Manor is on the sea shore.

What makes the place extraordinary is that one of the greatest and most famous painter of Finland, Albert Edelfelt, lived and painted there over 20 years (1879-1905). One of his masterpieces "Näkymä Porvoon Linnanvuorelta" is hanging on the wall of the main lounge. Superb!
