Je prenais un cours avec mon moniteur de ski quand il me proposa ce restaurant caché par la notoriété (et visibilité)du restaurant « La Maison ». Un soir mon père et moi nous décidâmes donc de nous y rendre. Nous avons prit deux pizza (reina et prosciutto que nous vous conseillons vivement) une poilée de champigons et les gnocchis truffes. À notre étonnement les pizza et les autres plats de la commandes arrivèrent très rapidement (5 minutes) mais étaient pourtant très frais. La carte est variée et l’ambiance du lieu est conviviale sans parler de la cuisine ouverte (toujours très agréable). Par contre, attitude inacceptable de la serveuse lorsque que je lui avait indiqué que les cœurs de sucrine que j’avais commandé contenait de la terre (ce qui peut arriver…) après avoir récupéré l’assiette, elle m’a indiqué que le cuisinier les avaient goûté… et que pour lui c’était du poivre et pas de la terre. J’ai dû lui expliquer que 1, je savais faire la différence entre du poivre et de la terre, et que 2 je n’appréciais pas trop que le cuisinier goûté ma salade. Je lui ai donc indiqué que je n’en voulais plus, elle a récupéré l’assiette d’un air très énervé et bien entendu me l’a facturer sans même me proposer de la remplacer. Cette attitude était totalement déplacée et regrettable, nous qui voulions mettre 5 étoiles partout.

Fuimos a varios sitios a comer y fue el mejor. Las cantidades son abundantes y están magníficamente bien elaboradas. No es comida francesa tradicional pero es muy recomendable ir. Trato muy agradable, ambiente acogedor, se esforzaron por hablar español y hacerse de entender, amenizado por la mejor música francesa.

Restaurante excelente. Tanto para tomarte algo a pie de pistas durante el día como para una cena especial.

Muy buena comida, pero el personal es un 10 sobre 10, lo que lo hace aún más especial.

Incredible food in a very pleasant setting. Would highly recommend. We visited for lunch (pizzas on the slopes) and immediately booked for dinner. 10/10.

Had the pork for mains during the evening service. What an incredible dish, hats of to the chef for a most unique combination of flavours and textures. I've never experienced anything like it before in all my years of skiing resorts.
Service was amazing, all staff were super friendly. Waitress was really lovely.
Unfortunately, the desert I ordered,an apple strudel was cold and stodgy. After the mains,I had high expectations, but even just a hot crunchy crust would have been nice.

20 mins went by and no one has even come to take our drink or food orders. Service is shocking! Avoid just for shocking service alone... Wait staff have an attitude problem. They just look angry.

Le restaurant La Face Ouest offre une expérience agréable avec un personnel sympathique qui rend le service chaleureux. La vue sur les montagnes et les pistes est vraiment magnifique. Cependant, j'ai trouvé que l'assiette était un peu légère, surtout en ce qui concerne le reblochon rôti, qui mériterait d'être un peu plus copieux. Dans l'ensemble, c'était une belle expérience.

Love this restaurant in central Val Tho. Been coming here on and off for over a decade and though the menu changes somewhat over time the quality remains high. Stopped there for lunch last week and had Lasagne which rather than minced beef in it, had pulled beef. A nice touch. Had a bottle of mineral water and a small coke and a side of frites. Then a white choc cheesecake for afters and a pint (0,5L) of St Stefanus Blonde to finish. Total cost 85 euros including 10% tip. The temp outside that day must've been about -4 or -5 degrees C as the pow was holding up perfectly all round the 3V when i stopped at 1400 for fuel, yet sitting on their terrace outside in the sun there was no need for a jacket while sitting eating for an hour or so. If the sun goes behind cloud, it would be best to be inside :-) Obviously it is a bit expensive, but well worth a visit as the food is great and the terrace is IMO one of the best in the Alps.

Food was alright, but expensive.

The waiters in this restaurant are treated poorly and it doesn’t seem like they are given breaks, are overworked and all look exhausted. I really hope the chef is allowing them their breaks because the restaurant is very busy.
