WATERBERG PLATEAU CAMPSITE & ANDERSSON CAMP

Met mijn vriendin heb ik 1 nacht mogen overnachten op de ze geweldige plek in de Waterberg wildernis. Omdat er slechts vier plaatsen zijn, heb je echt het gevoel dat je midden in de natuur zit. De plaatsen zijn redelijk goed afgeschermd en de toilet en douche plek is naar behoren. We hebben de voetsafari gedaan en die vonden we erg top! We zagen drie neushoorns van dichtbij :)

Campsite mit schönem Ausblick.
Bad war sauber und es wurde Feuer für warmes Wasser gemacht.
Kein Strom, was für einen kurzen Aufenthalt aber iO war.
Das Restaurant hat leider nur auf Reservierung Essen gemacht, was man bei einer späten Ankunft berücksichtigen sollte. Der Ausblick aus dem Restaurant lohnt sich dafür umso mehr.

We actually wanted to stay at the Plateau Camp, but this was already fully booked so we stayed one night at the Andersson Camp which lies underneath.
The check-in went easy and fast. We paid during check-out which got a bit complicated because of the bad signal, so it took some time. We also tried the restaurant which was okay. The pool area was very nice to have because of high temperature, but not really tidy.
The campsites have a good distance to one another, so you don't bother your neighbours. Every site has its own (open-air) restroom which was surprisingly very clean and comfortable.
Be careful with leaving food around (as always) as there are baboons around the campsite and we also got a visit by a porcupine.
I recommend to book a guided walking tour to the plateau itself. Wesley our guide gave us a lot of very interesting insights about the Waterberg Plateau and the history of namibian tribes around.

++ We really liked this campsite. You have your own showers/toilets, a water tap. Pools, super cool activities like rhino tracking...
- could have more shade, animal safe bins (some badgers raided the entire camping site every night, despite bin fencing)
