LOGUFA

One of our highlights on the Namibia tour. The atmosphere right at the Spitzkoppe is incredible. The entire facility and bungalows are very nicely furnished. Sometimes there are zebras right in front of the bungalows. If you arrive early, you can see everything in one day, but we regretted only having been here for one night so that we could not enjoy the atmosphere for longer. Dinner is a set menu - very tasty! If we are in Namibia again, we will definitely come back!

Coeliacs shouldn't bother coming. Check-in acknowledged prior notice my wife was coeliac. Yet 2 of the 4 course no choice set menu contained gluten. One easily fixed after we queried. Guest customer relations mgr visited our table twice, asking if we were enjoying our stay and could anything be done to make our dreams come true. We suggested a gluten free dessert. Clearly not communicated to kitchen as cake based dessert came out. We re-communicated need for Gf to same waitress who'd delivered earlier gluten present course and were offered ...yep, you guessed it: fruit salad! Realistically this is the norm for Namibia. A box to advise dietary requirements but no process to translate into action and gf option. But we expected more of this expensive lodge. Other aspects of the lodge are excellent so I am sure they could get this right if they bothered. Perhaps this review score will get their attention but whether that leads to any action or simply a 'thank you for you feedback.. .' type reaction will be for future guests to judge.

A little tricky to find with gps and Google maps. Follow signs on the road to avoid getting lost. Absolutely breathtaking place!

Nestled on the foot of a mountain. With lovely staff and delicious food. Sun set watching here is a merveille. A stop not to miss
