4 Private campsites with communal bathroom in beautiful surrounding on working farm. For what is offered however definitely overpriced at R600 for a couple overnight stay. The weather was very windy that night but sunset and sunrise were exquisite.

Hier waren wir vier Nächte und haben uns sofort sehr willkommen gefühlt. Selten haben wir so herzliche Gastgeber und Mitarbeiter:innen erlebt, man fühlte sich wirklich wie zu Hause. Zimmer und Mahlzeiten waren TOP, ebenso wie der Sundowner-Drive, der uns angeboten wurde. Wenn noch einmal Namibia, dann auf jeden Fall auch wieder Ababis!

The incredibly beautiful location alone makes this a great place!

My girlfriend and I stayed in a self-catering room, which had everything you needed (of which I would especially emphasize the ceiling fan). The kitchen was fully equipped. The staff was friendly and professional.

From Ababis, you can reach the Naukluft National Park in one hour, where there are beautiful hikes. Furthermore, on their lands, you can do several nice smaller hikes and a bigger one onto the "Zipfelberg", a peak close to there. The hike is great, the views are incredible. Especially in the warmer months, I would however recommend leaving as early as possible: This means you do the hiking in lower temperatures, and likely will do the ascent to the peak while the moutainflank is still in the shade. The overall hike took us (young, relatively frequent hikers) around four hours.
