Their customer service is horrible.. Especially over the phone. She is rude, drops phone calls in customer’s ears and do not respond timeously. She rejects calls and sends rude WhatsApp responses.

I regret doing my payment before going to this place,

I will definitely not recommend going to this place.

Dreadful place. Badly managed and maintained. Such a pity. Dam, nature and nature lovely there and it’s all ruined by incompetence with bad attitude to boot.

We stayed for two nights. The description of the room is misleading. According to the description the room should have a hairdryer, which it doesn't. There is also no private pool, the pool is public.
No shade available for your car. The cars are parked in full sun.
Breakfast is substandard for the price you pay.
We rested well though and enjoyed the view. However, this was the first and last time at Von Bach.

Proper place with amazing views, food is not so bad, but hayiiii Horrible service man! Never again! I don’t recommend at all. The Staff dressed like they work in a garage, and serve you with their greasy hands. Apron’s are dirty… tables are not wiped… yoooh! I am traumatized!

Beautiful place,very relaxing. The staff are Friendly& very welcoming, however I Agree with most people that left a review noting that the resort manager has horrible customer service.

She’s so unfriendly to the extent were we were uncomfortable to call and ask her questions . Good communication with visitors attracts more visitors so please improve.

Otherwise its a great Getaway place ,hubby and I enjoyed our stay&are definitely gonna visit again.

Need 4x4 to get to campsite. Ablutions ok. Require some maintenance. Nice view from campsites. Price on board does not include all the extras

Ce fut notre première étape en Namibie, et cette première expérience n'aurait pas pu être meilleure pour commencer ce séjour incroyable. L'emplacement est magnifique et permet de profiter d'un superbe coucher de soleil sur la terrasse du restaurant. Les chalets sont tellement mignons, propres et bien entretenus. Et un grand merci pour l'accueil qui nous a fait tout de suite sentir à notre place et nous a permis d'apprendre déjà pleins de choses sur la Namibie. N'hésitez pas, c'est un point de passage obligé!

Die warme Gastfreundschaft die uns entgegengebracht wurde, haben wir so nicht erwartet. Unsere Gastgeber (Nehemiah :-)) waren sehr aufmerksam. Haben oft gefragt ob alles in Ordnung sei und ob wir noch Wünsche hätten. Berücksichtigt man den Zimmerpreis (ca. 80 € für 2 Personen mit Frühstück!) Dann würden wir diese Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen. Die Unterkunft wird zudem auch von Einheimischen besucht und gebucht. Uns wurden zudem Aktivitäten angeboten. Das Kanu fahren auf dem Stausee können wir sehr empfehlen. Die Anlage braucht hier und da ein paar Reparaturen. Es hat uns aber nicht gestört. Die Angestellten waren bei kleinen Renovierungsarbeiten zu beobachten. (Neu streichen, Wege ausbessern) das war uns sympatisch. Ein bisschen hat uns das in den Gastraum integrierte Büro überrascht. Der aufmerksame Service und dass die Anlage bei Einheimischen offenbar einen guten Ruf hat, hat uns aber darüber hinweg sehen lassen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

This was a rather strange experience and not your conversional Namibian lodge outing. I think the staff and management are really trying, but the set-up just does not work. The waiters have no uniforms, and it is not easy to tell who is on staff. The buffet is not really a buffet since a waiter must dish-out for you. The nature drive had no refreshments. The rooms are standard, at best, and there is no daily housekeeping. The shower was not clean and was even blocked. The 2 swimming pools are each isolated and are not served by a waiter for drinks/snacks. The food was however good and the service remained friendly and engaging.

This place needs a young business minded supervisor free from tribalism it's a very nice business what I experienced there it was not cool. If you are stressing a lot with your employees or because your place is crowded by many people go home instead of stressing on your employees and customers. The rest was cool only stressing of Manger was not cool at all.

Service level was really poor, the campsite is cut off at the other side of the reservoir and has no pools. You can’t swim in the dam lake because it smells like fish. Also an employee told us we shouldn’t swim in it.
The roads are poorly maintained.

In the beginning they told us we can get a refund if we don’t wanna stay. We looked at the camp site and didn’t like it. We decided to get a refund and go to an other camp. But we got only the half of our money back „because we stayed one and a half hours“. It’s ridiculous!
And if you book the camp site and wanna use the pools, you have to pay 100N$ per Person. Because you booked “only” the camp site ;)
It’s the worst place we have been in Namibia.

Stayed one night at the campsite. Service level was really poor, the campsite is cut off at the other side of the reservoir, roads poorly maintained and littered. Lots of used tyres in the water which were visible from the campsite. One of the more expensive camps we stayed in in Namibia but it really wasn't worth the price. Small pitches, toilets and showers not that clean nor in good condition. The worst of all was the permanent camper (possibly a staff member) who seems to live in a caravan at the top corner of the campsite. He had a generator running from around 9 until into the night . Such an awful noise when you're trying to relax, sleep and otherwise enjoy the sounds of nature. Definitely do not recommend

Auberge tenue par un couple de français, très convivial, c'est une étape assez proche de windhoek qui permet d'éviter les tumultes de la capitale. Cuisine familiale et très savoureuse, cadre soigné et très bon conseil pour la suite du voyage. Je recommande cette étape pour tous ceux qui découvre la Namibie pour la première fois.

Etape idéale sur la route d'Etosha ou vers le Nord. L'accueil de Christine et Jean Paul mérite cinq étoiles et la cuisine mérite le détour. Vous serez bien conseillé pour votre voyage en Namibie car ils en connaissent tous les trésors. Les 4 chambres ( il y en a 2 de plus dont une family !) sont confortables.Une halte à ne pas manquer !
