Beautiful atmosphere with a great guide - JP. Extremely knowledgeable, fun and a good driver

Went for Sunday Lunch buffet with the family. It was a short drive outside Windhoek and the road although gravel was easily accessible for almost any vehicle. The setting of the restaurant is under one big thatched roof with pack away doors overlooking a large lawn and the Savana Bush veld. Peaceful and serene come to mind as you sit at your table overlooking the lawn watching animals such as warthog and ostrich. Staff are extremely friendly and super helpful. They delight in your enjoyment and are all keen to strike up a conversation. The food for the buffet was really good with ample choice of grilled meats and side dishes. Dessert was also really good.
The service was really good and the drinks cold. I would recommend this place for a special occasion. Gondwana has gotten their recipe down to a T and you won’t be leaving disappointed. A bit pricey yes but in my opinion it is the entire offering that one gets. On this Sunday we were soiled with live music as well which I must say really added to the atmosphere and lended a relaxed vibe to an already great venue

Tolle Lodge, sauberes und schönes Zimmer sowie leckeres Essen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Auch die Safari hat richtig Spaß gemacht.

Such a beautiful place…I was here 2022(wasn’t Gondwana yet)! Now is beautiful ???? first I want to say thanks for chef Linda make such a nice food for us!second is our waiter Robber,always make sure customers is happy.Last is our game driver & guide Simon,he is very professional with lots of interesting knowledge ???? Good job everyone,i will come back again! For all the beautiful and friendly staff????baie dankie everyone who work at Okapuka/Gondwana!????????
