We would highly recommend staying at Fish River Lodge!
We stayed here as part of our honeymoon in June 2023 and had a wonderful time. The main lodge area is beautiful - the enormous windows highlight the magnificent views (seriously, they are incredible!). The main area has a cosy fire near the bar, and the restaurant area is modern and intimate (the food is also delicious!).
The rooms are really nicely designed, all focused on the stunning views. We loved the indoor + outdoor showers, and all the amenities. It was unexpectedly cold when we were there, but the team made the room up with hot water bottles and extra blankets to keep us warm and cosy.

We loved the team who worked there - they were really friendly and helpful. We would especially recommend the guided hike into the canyon with Gordon - he was hands down the best guide we had across our entire 3wk trip in Namibia. He is super knowledgeable, and we loved hearing his stories and about his ambitions. We cannot recommend him enough!!
The team went above and beyond to make our honeymoon feel special with treats in the room, the best tables in the restaurant, and happy wishes - a big thank you to them <3

l'un des endroits les plus étonnants que vous puissiez imaginer, un beau camping, très simple et sans fioritures, mais propre et paisible, j'espère y retourner un jour.

Je pense encore à cet endroit. Vous avez de la chance si jamais vous pouvez découvrir ce magnifique camp. Soyez conscient des routes qui mènent ici, de nombreux lits de rivières rocheux et asséchés, ils peuvent être dangereux, veuillez faire attention.

hiking trails are really great, and upmarket hikers desitnation. hikes are for your average or older hiker and they are not challanging. views are really beautifull. Canyon drive is a nice scenic 4x4 drive into the canyon.

value for money it is over priced especially for locals. In terms of service, food and rooms I have been to places that cost less than half and are better (not at all saying the service or rooms are bad, they are great, just not value for money), so essentially you are paying a premium for the amazing view and location.

Definitiv eines der schönsten Hotels unserer Reise! Zimmer sind gross, der Ausblick schlicht atemberaubend, der Service unglaublich zuvorkommend unddas Essen war grossartig. Bei zwei Nächten lohnt sich für gut erprobte Wanderer der Halfday oder Day-Hike in den Canyon!

Really a amazing place at the world second largest canyon, the fish river canyon. Take the time and have a stop there. Simply unbelievable. Take a sunset tour at the evening and the canyon tour in the morning to discover the area. Several stops in between down to the river and a final Stopp at the river with the opportunity to take a splash down into the "pool" .
