On a passé un bon moment et nos enfants aussi !
C'est agréable de voir des œuvres d'art réalisées par des gens simples mais brillants !
Nous n'avons rien payé car c'est le premier samedi du mois, ce qui est une bonne chose !
Nous ne nous sommes jamais ennuyés et avons passé environ deux heures là-bas, et je recommande d'y aller.
Il y a un parking à trois minutes à pied.

This is most probably one of the world's most interesting museums devoted to "outsider art", produced by self-taught creators, often marginalized, many living in institutions or being inmates. Their histories told beside their art works is often touching, sometimes violent. The French artist Jean Dubuffet was the initiator of this museum being a collector of this art form himself and then donating his collection to Lausanne. Just now, early 2024, the museum features a special exhibition called Visages, "faces", from which I have chosen to present some photographs for the reader to enjoy. The museum is discretely implanted facing the Lausanne congress center, somewhat off the center of town, and is surprisingly roomy. The works are beautifully curated. I find it a must to spend a couple of hours here for anyone interested in arts living in or visiting the Lausanne area.

Visita molto. Interessante: La Collection de l'Art Brut, è un museo unico nel suo genere perche raduna tele, sculture, disegni di autodidatti, realizzati nel disagio di carceri ed ospedali psichiatrici o semplicemente ai margini del mondo e nella solitudine. La collezione fu donata alla città di Losanna dal francese Jean Dubuffet ed è celebre ormai in tutto il mondo: 60.000 il numero dei pezzi, dieci volte di più delle 5300 opere iniziali donate da Dubuffet che spese una vita a cercare artisti nei manicomi, o a farsi dare notizie dagli psichiatri della vita e dell'opera di certi pazienti che improvvisamente iniziavano pratiche artistiche.

Ce musée se distingue des autres musées d'art par la diversité de ses artistes et de ses œuvres. Si vous êtes un grand amateur d'art prévoyez au moins 2 heures de visite.

J'ai beaucoup aimer la visite du musée d'art brut. Le concept lui-même me plait : mettre en lumière des artistes qui n'étaient pas considérer comme tels de leur vivant et qui ont des parcours particuliers (souvent traités de fous ou de décalés).
Bien sûre c'est une exposition très particulière. j'ai apprécié avec une guide pour m'explique le contexte de chaque oeuvre et artiste.
ATTENTION toutefois, ce musée ne peut pas plaire à tout le monde
