Starling at EPFL is a good hotel. It is rated 4 stars, but I think that it is highly overrated. The rooms are standard, quite clean and the service is ok. Anyway, this cannot justify the hotel's rating. Also, the price is incredibly high. I paid 190€ per night plus 6€ for the local tax. Almost 200€ for a single room, without any additional service (e.g., breakfast) is not acceptable. I went there for a work trip and everything was paid by my company, but I'd like you to put yourselves in the students' shoes: what if some student needs a place to stay for a few days close to EPFL?
Terrible value for money.

Modern, gute Lage wenn man in EPFL zu tun hat, aber auswerts gelegen.
Zimmer wird mit Heissluftanlage geheizt, also man hört immer das Rauschen. Steinboden ist immer Kalt. Restarant hat teure Preise.

We have a business trip to the UNIL and this was the great hotel to stay during all week. Hotel is clean and comfortable. Train station and shops are in walking distance. Great connection to the Lausanne city center.
