Very poor service, DO NOT book for any events!

OK, I cannot comment on the rooms since I did not stay at this hotel for a longer time.

I, however, visited the hotel on an organized business event. We had a nice time outdoors at the backyard. The food was OK. After I left, my colleagues who still were at the event (and there still was a bunch of people) noticed that I have forgotten my sunglasses on the table. So they brought them to the reception and left them specifically as a forgotten (not found) item - with the information that I would pick them up later.

Unfortunately, I was not able to pick them up for approx. 3 weeks. To my big surprise, when I returned at the end of the same month, the hotel staff could not find anything and told me they never had any sunglasses.

I personally used to work within the industry and specifically know that if a guest forgets anything at the hotel, the item is kept up to 12 months just in case the customer would come back at a later stage.

This unfortunately was not the case with Odelya. Obviously, my sunglasses were stolen from the internal employees since I doubt that someone would put Rayban sunglasses to the bin. The manager (after I escalated) did not really care about the matter, did not even try to call me to explain what happened or did not do anything to make up for the mess) - he carelessly commented via email that due to me! coming back that late, the item is no longer available.

Poor, poor service with a very bad attitude towards guests. I definitelly would not pick up this location for any business or private events. Spend the money somewhere else where the customers are appreciated and treated well.

Very well located in Basel, very calm. A peace garden in the city.

Leider ein ganz schlechter Service, den ich eigentlich in Basel nicht gewohnt bin. Trotz langfristiger Reservierung bekam ich aufgrund einer Tagung für 220 CHF (!) nur noch ein Zimmer in der 4. Etage, direkt unter dem Dach, in dem aufgrund fehlender Klimaanlage mindestens 30 Grad herrschten. Ein Zimmerwechsel war nicht möglich, ein größerer zweiter Lüfter wurde mir auch nicht ausgehändigt und das kleine Bullaugen-ähnliche Fenster war nicht zu öffnen. 4 Stunden Schlaf war das Maximum, um 4 Uhr morgens suchte ich Abkühlung auf einer Parkbank. Ich kann dieses Hotel im Sommer leider nicht empfehlen, obwohl es eigentlich eine gute Lage hat und in einem historischen Gebäude mit angrenzendem Park liegt. Schade, aber ich werde dort nicht mehr übernachten.
