Hotel vicino alla fine del mondo posto com'è in un anfratto di un lungo fiordo e raggiungibile in inverno solo da un vecchissimo trenino che attraversa 20 gallerie scavate a mano dato l'impervio percorso a zig-zag della montagna, un po' come la costa amalfitana da noi dove arrivare davanti a te ti sembra vicino ma il girare continuamente a destra e a sinistra non ti concede di giungere mai a destinazione. Estremamente pittoresco perché posto su questo fiordo, fortemente innevato in dicembre e molto freddo, è un hotel dove si mangia bene sia a colazione che a cena con camere con il tetto spiovente al quarto e ultimo piano. Confortevole la camera, parecchio grande, caldo e bello il bagno non offre il servizio di sveglia. Cortesi i camerieri e il personale, offre anche del buon vino oltre alle note birre e spirits. Molto molto particolare, e con una vecchia ala visitabile dove risiedevano duchi e principi ora non in uso ma restaurata, è da godere in una pace inesistente ovunque quando non vi giungono le grandi navi dei turisti, dunque non in estate. Costoso, naturalmente.

A lovely hotel in a gorgeous scenic location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and a good size. The only issue is that the tea, coffee etc wasn't replenished each day and we had to ask for milk.

The location is very good, the rooms are ok (our shower was not working very well - sometimes hot, sometimes cold water). The breakfast was very good, as the service, but could have more fruits options.
