HÔTEL LE LAGON

ニューカレドニアにあるホテルです。内装はリゾートっぽい明るい色合いで、アットホームな雰囲気です。客室も十分な広さ。レストランが多く並ぶショッピングモールまで徒歩すぐ。海までも歩いて行けます。素敵なホテルでした。

Beware of this hotel!
Our intended holiday at Le Lagon had to be abandoned because of the riots.
Our flight to Noumea on the 15th of May was the first to be cancelled and there were no flights for several weeks following because of the airport closure.
We were not notified of the flight cancellation until 4:15 pm on the 14th May, so it was impossible for us to notify the hotel any earlier. Three days later on the 17th of May, Le Lagon
charged us a cancellation fee of AUD $313.92 which was deducted from my bank card .
Given the circumstances which were beyond our control deducting money from our bank card can only be regarded as cynical opportunism.
They would have known on the 17th that it would have been impossible for anyone to visit Noumea so why take our money?
I emailed them twice seeking an explanation but they did not bother to reply to either which is not only very unprofessional but also indicative of a don't care attitude towards their clientele.

I would personally like to say thank you to the owners for their understanding during the situation in May 2024. There was no question of concerns about extending my stay and they ensured that we had all the recent communications for information. Even with reduced staff, they made sure that breakfast was available and supplies were provided when requested.
Je tiens personnellement à remercier les propriétaires pour leur compréhension lors de la situation de mai 2024. Il n'a pas été question d'inquiétude quant à la prolongation de mon séjour et ils ont veillé à ce que nous ayons toutes les communications récentes pour information. Même avec un personnel réduit, ils ont veillé à ce que le petit-déjeuner soit disponible et que les fournitures soient fournies sur demande.

Everyone on reception provided plenty of advice and support and a big thank you to Thomas, who I spoke with the most.

I have stayed at this hotel many times previously but my experience in May 2024 was exceptional considering the unusual situation.
J'ai séjourné plusieurs fois dans cet hôtel auparavant mais mon expérience en mai 2024 a été exceptionnelle compte tenu de la situation inhabituelle

I would highly recommend this hotel when making your booking in Noumea.

The hotel is clean and comfortable. It has modest facilities. It is centrally located near the shops and beach. It is long overdue a redecorating and upgrade. No USB plugs is not acceptable today.

Staff and hotel are very accomodating during a time when the airport was closed and tourists required to stay longer than intended. All of the staff were friendly, greeting you with warmth and doing all the can to look after you. Hotel in a very good location. Very short walk to the beach and restaurants. Pharmacy and mini marts nearby for any supplies as well. I hope to come back to Noumea one day and would gladly stay at Le Lagon Hotel
