THE NAMKHAN RESORT & ECO-FARM

I stayed at Namkhan Resort recently and let me just say, it was incredible! The villas are stylish yet cozy, with killer views. The pool area is pure relaxation heaven, and their massages? Top-notch. Plus, there's so much to do – from guided kayaking, bamboo teaching class, bbq experience is my favorite. Seriously, it was like living in a dream. Can't wait to go back!

Couldn’t speak highly enough of the resort itself - everywhere on the large site was beautiful, stunning views, prime location on the beautiful river, room (the deluxe suite) was ideal and the pool and gym were both excellent.

However, there were two things that lead to me dropping stars.

Firstly, there are dogs on the lodge which in itself should be a positive. But one dog who hangs around the restaurant area seemed incredibly uncomfortable and even bit my friend at one point. And there was another dog who violently growled at me when I was checking out. I own a customer-facing business and have taken great effort to train my dogs so that they are approachable and friendly, and it seems unprofessional that such a place would not do the same.

Secondly, there were many hidden fees included in small things. Water which was not labeled with a price was revealed to be $1.50 per small bottle with an included “service charge” to bring it to our room which we were explicitly told is free. Whilst this price may not be a big deal to some but for those on Thai salary these hidden fees come to a considerable price to us. Whilst all the staff on site were lovely and very caring, hidden fees like this aren’t appreciated.

I would still recommend anyone to stay here but am left a sour taste by the two negatives I have stated.

Eine tolles Resort. Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Service. Unser privates Tuk Tuk hatte auf der Anreise ein Refenschaden. Das Namkhan hat sofort einen Wagen geschickt um uns abzuholen. Es gibt mehrmals täglich einen kostenlosen Shuttle in die City. Unser Bungalow war sehr sauber und würde täglich gereinigt. Das Restaurant ist ganztägig geöffnet und bietet leckeres Essen und ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Insgesamt sehr empfehlenswert.

Bellissima esperienza in mezzo alla natura. Camille, il manager francese, ha un gran cuore. Lo staff laotiano è molto gentile e dolce. Il ristorante è ottimo - anche per noi che siamo vegan e quindi...un po' difficili da accontentare - e le verdure biologiche vengono direttamente dagli orti coltivati in loco. Noi abbiamo soggiornato in tenda ma anche le camere e le ville -nella parte nuova - sono bellissime sia come architettura che nel design. Raffinate opere d'arte sono ovunque. Grazie per tutto ciò che ci avete fatto conoscere e vivere.
