The room was acceptable, we didn't like the food. The primary reason I rated it one star was due to a negative experience with the receptionist. He rudely asked my wife and kids to leave while I stepped out to buy some fruits for my children after checking out. They were left waiting in the cold weather until my return. The complaint he raised was about my kids running in the lobby. I would not recommend this hostel for families with children.

Parkplätze gegen Gebühr in der Tiefgarage. Zahlung per Karte oder bar möglich. Personal freundlich.
Modern ausgestattete Jugendherberge mit Bar und großem Aufenthaltsraum. Kleinem Shop mit Spielen, Bücher, Moun10 Becher, etc.
Reichhaltiges Frühstück vom Buffet.
Wasserspender in der Lobby.
Sauna und Fitness mit Blick auf die Berge. Skiraum und Fahrradraum im Keller.
Fahrstuhl vorhanden.

Diese Jugendherberge ist der Hammer. Ganz neu erbaut worden. Waren dort zum nächtigen mit der Uni. Bier gibt es unten in der Bar sehr günstig. Im obersten Stock gibt es sogar einen SPA Bereich mit Dachterrasse, auf der man einen Blick auf die Zugspitze hat. Die Sauna hat sogar Panoramafenster, um auf die Berge zu sehen. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Ansonsten auch sehr sehr sauber, große duschen, bei denen sogar der Wasserverbrauch angezeigt wird. Ganz cool um auch mal zu sehen wieviel man verbraucht.

The hostel was good, clean. Breakfast was okayish but the waffles and belgian chocolate dip was very good.
Check in time of 4PM is a bit late, but they also allow to store the luggage so not that big of a problem.
One thing I would like to call out is that you need a Youth International Hostel membership or pay extra on per day basis. This information was not super easy to find while booking but got to only know after booking the non refundable hotel. So, please keep this in mind

Our aim to ski in Garmisch for two days. But my husband had an accident and no chance to ski second day. I explained this to receptionist and said we have to leave from the hotel and back refund 2nd day. They said that they will decide tomorrow and And the next day they rejected our request. Our rule, our rule. There is no more explanation
