Simplicity and tranquility in a relaxed rural Mozambican beach setting. Absolute heaven and food for the soul. If you're into yoga/pilates or just quietly contemplating the endless movement of the ocean, Kumba Lodge is the place for you!

Mijn man en ik verbleven hier in mei 1,5 week na een aantal weken rondgereisd te hebben. Dit is een fantastische plek waar je helemaal tot rust kunt komen maar waar wel van alles te doen is. De yoga (door Steven) is top, een fijn terras met heerlijk zwembad, je kunt voor de deur surfen, om de hoek duiken en snorkelen, en er zijn precies genoeg goede restaurantjes in de buurt. We verbleven in een luxe cottage (nr1) op de duinen met subliem uitzicht. Dikke aanrader. Ontbijten is een feest, en ook voor lunch en diner hele lekkere opties. En overigens de enige plek in Mozambique/ZA met goede frites en goede mayonaise ;-)

Absolutely Amazing place with best location in tofu beach ,
We specifically chose for location,
Good service and amazing food options with excellent staffs,
We had unfortunately a garden view room but will try next time for beach view ,
Owner Steven is good host and accommodated our request,
Has a Yoga in morning with room and brakie
Will definitely stay here again

From the moment I walked into the lodge. The friendly staff welcomed me with open arms.
The lodge is BEAUTIFUL. The giant infinity pool is a great way to cool off in the African sun! They have a great lounge area and high-speed wifi (perfect for remote work!) I love that you can access the beach right from the lodge as well. It’s about a mile away from the main town of Tofo which is a great escape from the hustle and bustle.
The rooms are gorgeous. They have ocean rooms or jungle palm tree rooms. You won’t regret either choice! The way the rooms are designed is rustic and modern. Beds are so comfortable and you can literally see the sunrise and sunset from the rooms! Such a great way to wake up in the morning. I have never felt so comfortable and relaxed on a trip.
The food menu is delicious and unique. I loved everything I ate. Highly suggest trying to falafel bowl and Asian noodles as that was my favorite! But the entire menu is delicious
Booking your stay in Tofo at Kumba lodge will be the best decision you can make! Additionally they offer a lot of great tours so you can get to see the rest of the area :)
