What an extraordinary place. We saw and felt how the owners built a place with love, thoughtfulness and lots of efforts. The result is an oasis where you can calm down, unwind. Take a bath in pristine water of the lake, sit by the fire or take a short walk to the endless & beautiful coastline of the Indian Ocean. Highly recommend visiting!

Perfetto è dire poco, mi è piaciuto tutto di questo posto, dalla posizione strategica fra il bellissimo lago di Quissico e l'oceano, alla struttura molto accogliente, per non parlare della bellissima famiglia che gestisce il posto e dell'ottima cucina. Luogo perfetto per rilassarsi e disconnettersi un po'. Viaggio da sola e sono lontana dalla mia famiglia da qualche mese ma mi sono sentita a casa e parte della famiglia in questo posto bellissimo.
Ho soggiornato nel dormitorio ma ero sola quindi è stato come avere una camera tutta per me.
Se dovessi tornare in Mozambico sicuramente ripasserei da qui.

It’s difficult to find the words to describe this beautiful place. A little slice of paradise down a sandy road. Immaculate, comfortable, serene, family run by wonderful people this place really is special! The food is delicious, the views are stunning and you have the lake to swim on or the beach to stroll on with crashing waves.
Don’t be put off by the sand road it is accessible by 2x4 just call ahead to ask advice on where to park (2mins walk from destination) My husband and I have traveled extensively and can honestly say this is one of the best places we’ve ever stayed!

We enjoyed our stay at the bul bul so much, it was definitely one of our highlights. The family was so kind, we almost felt like being home. The rooms were really clean and the Rondavel has an Amazing view, the home cooked local meals were awesome, we enjoyed the sea on the one side and the lake on the other side, where it's easy to swim or kayak around. It's a truly magical place!

Beautifully located overlooking the lake of Quissico, BulBul Backpackers is a great stop to wind down when traveling along the coast in Southern Mozambique. Diederik and Arcenia are great hosts. The lodge is clean and in great condition. The beach is only a 15min walk away. Highly recommended.

Great lodge in the middle of nature. Friendly and hospitable hosts. Excellent and good value food at their 'restaurant'.

You can do scenic hikes to the beach and around the lake. Also canoeing or just swimming in the lake is nice and refreshing.

Their dogs may join you if you go on a walk (if you want!)

El mejor lugar de Mozambique donde he estado. Tranquilidad, naturaleza, kayak, lago increible, playa preciosa, gente maravillosa, comida deliciosa vegetariana... El sitio es auténtico! Con una familia local super amable y cariñosa. Vale la pena cojer taxi para llegar. Una vez llegas es un paraiso!! Lo aconsejo!!! Voy a volver muchas veces mas

Super charming, simple and clean hideaway right at the turquiose lagoon. Diederik and Arsenia are amazing hosts, tasty food prepared with love. Delightful swimming 1min down the hill I crystal clear water. Will be back

Melhor lugar para ficar em um dos melhores lugares de Moçambique.
Bela localização, facilidades e ótimas acomodações.
Os anfitriões são adoráveis e as refeições são ótimas.
Natureza exuberante ao redor, sem muitos turistas e em meio aos locais.
